THIS! I love seeing this page but you summed up exactly how I tend to feel after watching every cover. Like something is just not fully there when it comes to the dance. The visuals are giving, the location is giving, the outfits are giving, hell the song choices are giving…but there is something lacking in the dance and the energy lvls is def a huge factor into what feels off. Glad I’m not the only one who felt that. They did good but this is a common thing Imo with the channel.
…idk it’s kinda hard to make good facial expressions when you’re doing so much.. like this dance has so many moving members and a lot of repeating parts that are slightly different… my sister is a professional dancer and she says if the dance is taxing enough or if there’s a lot going on (like idk say… being in Times Square… one of the busiest places ever… dancing in front of hundreds of strangers in crazy outfits) you just forget to do facial expressions. To me it just looks like they’re making concentrating faces… it’s rlly not that deep bro 🫥
