The man was a genius song writer in every single way. I have been listening to Jimi since I was a teenager in the 80's and my appreciation for him continues to grow. EVH is one big chip from JMH’s old block in that both men easily handled rhythm and lead. And had boo-coo fun doing it. One more thing is that JMH really, really made good use of double stops as fills and also advance the melody. This is speculation, but that would have made him an eagerly sought hot session hand in Nashville studios. Why not?

LOL!! While watching this, it was a slightly painful reminder that I do not have the 'paws' the thumb wrap like is needed to truly nail some of Hendrix's playing!
Before I had to stop learning guitar due to a nerve issue, I was able to wrap my thumb over enough to play 4 strings on my strat lol I have really large hands. Was even able to do it on my Gretsch which had a even larger neck. I cant play anymore. I still have my strat and want someone to rock out to some hendrix on it because I cant do it anymore. @@beachcomber4141
Electric Ladyland was my first Hendrix LP and it blew me away with its variety. This particular song with its incredible female backing vocals amazed the teenaged me. Every song apart from the live Voodoo Chile lifted me up and inspired me. Great playing here, dude!

Probably my favourite of Jimi’s many wonderful compositions. I’ve seen several of your videos Mr Vibratory, you have obviously put in many many hours of time and effort to get where you were back in 2016, hard to imagine what your playing level is at now in 2022. Respect ✊
What I like best about this great cover, is that although it's very accurate a d faithful to the original, it doesn't come off as "canned", overproduced, or done by a mechanical parrot without feeling. Instead, it just chooches along with a comfy groove, as if the original artist was having a good time with his Strat!
