    Someone else is going to mention this as well. This is part of a 3 song grouping that we call the "holy trinity". This is a meditation and does not rush anything. Disposition/Reflection/Triad together it is a 25min experience. The "drop" you were looking for is in Triad which is instrumental only.

    The very idea of Tool as a band is that they want to make music that can be a tool of self discovery for better or worse... open the Third Eye (that is also a great song)
    I HIGHLY recommend
    Third Eye
    Pushit
    Jambi

    Parabol/parabola, Jambi and Eulogy are all great. Right in Two also. And definitely do not miss the live drum cam of Pneuma. All 🔥🔥🔥🔥

    Rare for someone to react to this one. This is more in the back pages of the TOOL discography. I'm sure you'll get some recommendations, hope you try more.

    The violin you’re hearing is actually a middle eastern guitar called a sitar it’s common in eastern music.

    I wish I could go back and start my Tool journey all over again. However I usually hit the subscribe button and live “vicariously” through someones else’s journey. I’m not usually the one to suggest a song, but Passenger by deftones features Maynard. Check it out when you get a chance.

    Tool's Danny Carey Pneuma Drum Cam should be your next stop my friend. It will give a good taste of what Tool's master percussionist is doing behind the kit, it's got 38m views as of today!

    Surprised you didn't go with 46 & 2 as others had suggested. This is a great song too. Newer stuff is so tight.

    Many have already said it, but TOOL has many songs that are meant to be played together. TOOL Army should not be recommending them separately. Always check before you listen.

    oh yeah, Tool won’t always drop a planet on you. No big drops here. sometimes you gotta give your ears a chance to breathe.
    Or sweetest build ever, in “Eulogy” That’s a journey. And the drops here. Hoo!
    But two years? What now?

    This album is a story from beginning to end. You started with the first, The Grudge, which is about evolving your personality through life's lessons. You can evolve or simply hold on to the grudges of life. You've now done the last of the set, Reflection, is where he's come full circle of that evolving. He realizes that he's not a singular entity and that we are all connected. But IMO, you missed critical songs in the middle. The Patient, Schism, Parabol/Parabola, Lateralus. They are all a part of this journey. You said you heard them before but it's probably good to revisit and really think about the lyrics as they all connect. Having said all of that, EVERY Tool album is a journey. So I would say go back to Aenima and start there. Stinkfist-about how humanity has become desensitized to the travesties in life using the metaphor of ....well, you'll figure that out. Eulogy. His distain for L Ron Hubbard. H - A song about his son and how he wants to be a better father. 46+2- One of this first about evolving. Jimmy - biographical. He has tons of songs about him and his mom. Too much to write here. Pushit - a ton of interpretations but IMO, it's about dealing with toxic relationships, family or not. AEnima. The most self explanatory song of Tool. Then you're on to 10000 Days and then their latest. But don't go forward until you do the older stuff. You'll see the progression of the greatest band ever.
    Spiral out my friend.

    Tool army here. You're going to have to do Reflection again at some point but you must listen in this order: Disposition/Reflection/Triad. I second 46&2 for you next,but any Tool somg will do. They make masterpiece!

  • @JonnySativaSeed23
    @JonnySativaSeed23 25 วันที่ผ่านมา +5

    Just a heads up, its not your fault, Reflection is the middle song in a trinity of songs meant to be one song, Disposition/Reflection/Triad. Tool has a few other tracks like it, Parabol/Parabola, Intension/Right In Two, 10,000 Days/Wings For Marie, Lipan Conjuring/Lost Keys/Rosetta Stoned. Keep up the great work. P.S. That drop you were waiting for is the next track on the album, Triad. Cheers.

    • @PongGod
      @PongGod 24 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      Sorry to nitpick, but it's Wings For Marie / 10,000 Days in that order, definitely a combo that needs to be listened together just like Parabol/Parabola. As for Reflection, I think it stands on its own very well and is far and away the best track among the Holy Trinity.

    This song is one of those great sleepers from Tool. It was easy to overlook the first couple of times, but the more I listened, the more I grew to love it so much. Now it's one of my favorites. Just an absolute vibe and so much more impactful when you follow along with the lyrics. Another masterpiece by this very special band.

    Great reactions! If I may be so bold. I would suggest starting at the beginning of the catalog and work front to back. Experience the band’s evolution. Know there multiple songs that should be experienced together and flow into the next. Tool army should chime in as you move through the albums. Start with the Opiate Ep. Note the song sweat from this Ep will not be able to be put on TH-cam. One of the rare bands that front to back the catalog is solid throughout

    That's the magic about Tool. You can listen to any of their songs and be like wasn't not long enough. Welcome to the journey your'e about to take. I highly recommend H, Pushit, Jimmy, 10,000 days(parts 1 and 2), right in two and 4.

    If you want a journey from Tool , their newest album is full of them. Any of the 10 minute plus songs are full of slow builds and the payoffs are worth it every time. I think Descending is their most complex, but Invincible, Pneuma, 7empest, and Fear Inoculum are all incredible.

  • @Nicci-the-coach

    Loving your reactions to tool, my friend. If you appreciate complexity and gooseflesh: check out Lateralus. For chaotic euphoria, listen to the Grudge. If you feel like wearing a stankface the whole time, check out AEnima or 46 & Two. No matter which direction you choose, it’s the right one. Spiral out!

    Always enjoy seeing like-minded humans just discovering the Tool experience (I'm so old I've been worshipping their music for 30 years now, NEVER get tired of it)! I know well the Tool Army will send a barrage of song suggestions at you, but based on the 2 you've already + the list u mentioned in this vid highly recommend "Parabol/Parabola", technically 2 different songs but feel you get more out of the listen hearing them back-to-back as you would on the album (Lateralus). Blessed Be, Leo

    It's been suggested that Maynard recorded his vocals in reverse (not just with reverse echo) then had the engineer reverse that to regular. Like actually singing gibberish
