Incredible help as always! Would it be possible to insert the "Hop mod arm" it into an VFC HK417D V1, which had it's barrel cut to replicate the V2's and installed the V2's hop up unit, also taking the parts into account from your tip 8# (realllly apprecative of that video!!❤)?
Hi, glad it helped. Yes, you can do the same mod for HK417 too. The models are bit different though. I did it on 3 HK417 gen 1 and all work well after that. I could record one, but I have no patient to do this mod on so for now only HK416 was recorded and published ;-)
@frogengineeringairsoft Thanks for the quick response. Do you have the file for the HK417D V1 hop arm uploaded on any platform? Also on a sidenote does the worm screw from tip #8 fit into the gen1 gas block? Again, thank you for the amazing help!
All parts are a bit different, for HK417 worm screw has bigger length and diameter I think. I did that mod maybe like 2 years ago, don't fully remember. If you contact me on Messenger I can send you the files for it as it was never published anywhere.
Great job man !!! Im looking into doing this mod. I “solved” hopup problems on my 416d with 3d printed hop wheel for vfc m4, ml crazy jet barrel, ml bucking and omega nub. I can overhop 0.40s but trajectory could be better… and its so annoying to adjust hop like that, you need to remove the handguard and unscrew barrel nut etc…. How about Maple leaf Hop chamber for GHK m4s, they say it will not fit the 416, but i dont see why it wouldnt..
Thanks ;-) in general GHK is very similar to VFC, uses the same barrel extension, barrel has same shape for chamber, with opening on the bottom for setting wheel (older versions of VFC without guide hop). You can see that in my video. But even if you replace it, it won't help with the way how you set it, it will be still a nightmare to set as you will have to disassemble handguard to do it.

when you say "old generations" do you mean gen 2 as well??
This mod will fit to any HK416D or M27 without guide hop from VFC.
