I ran a 510 Massey on our farm from the time I was 17 for 10 years awesome Combines, really hard to find better in the day, certainly light years ahead of a Deere.
I still use a mf510 every year to harvest corn and soybeans. sometimes I think I should buy a newer combine but I can't cause the old 510 just keeps going!
Do you still have this 510 Massey Ferguson? My husband would love to see it, take pictures. His father passed away and the farm was sold back in 1994. We live in Missouri.
@@teresajohnson849 yep, 350s come in after 1973, ours was the 1973 and it was still a 327 I think they changed mid-year, I was only a an hour from the Massey Ferguson plant in Brantford Ontario Canada, not a perfect machine but they were one of the best, and they could cover the Acres in a day!
Had one. Thanks for the Memories 👍👍👍

Beautiful machinery 👍
Great farming as it should be. No computers or 200k tractors pulling grain carts for 500k half plastic combines.

the MF 510 has a 354 Perkins 6 cylinder
This one likely had the 327 Chevy gas engine. Later (Western Special) 510 had the 350 Chev gas engine. Perkins diesel was optional but never saw many.
What engine did these have for a diesel?
Kyle Kenan 354 Perkins
Gas burners had 327 chevy
Some had a 350 chevy gas mine did
