I save my pickup oil to top of used mowers while I’m fixing them up
No need to waste new oil tell the oil change once it’s fixed 😊
That's a good looking Poulan!! Great job on getting it rectified and back among the living!! Very satisfying!!
Good video Tommy. Thanks for the shout out. Definitely need to shine up that yellow, it's not resale red!!
The most common proble with these mowers is the main jet in the carburetor. You can clean the gunk in the main jet as many times as you want, however, it will stop up again and again because the federal government wanted fuel efficiency and as a result the opening in the main jet is 0.12-0.13" in diameter (this opening is where all the gas to the engine must pass through). You need to drill out the main jet to .021" to make sure it does not clog up. This is the diameter of most small engines without the plastic carb and it works even better at .021". All of the replacement carbs off eBay and Amazon have exactly the same tiny main jet opening.
Left hand looking better, healing right up it seems. Good video, enjoyable as always.
That mower looks great good score
Thank you, Mike.
