I was at yesterday’s performance - what a great production! I thought that the interleaving of text from different scenes brought real momentum and drive, and emphasised some of the key thematic connections - this was really well done and considered. The music was also most sympathetic to the action on stage, and reminded me a little of Philip Glass’s Akhnaten, particularly when Diana appeared and the music of the spheres became evident to Pericles.
Strongly recommended, if you’re able to find your way to Stratford 😀

I saw it on monday night. I wonder if the RSC will ever do a modern english version of the play.
