Hey, Big Ern, just wanted to tell you how much I appreciate and enjoy your channel. I'm a SWA captain's mom, and I've always been interested in what he does for a living. Your videos give me so much insight into the every day goings on, so they help me to better understand what his days must be like as well. Thanks for taking the time to take your viewers along on your trips. I'm sure they motivate many aspiring pilots, as well. May God bless and always keep you safe in the palm of His hand. 🙏💙♥️💛

5:40 I can say its much longer when your traveling at 7.5 knots in a 76' yacht across that stretch, although the destination was Seattle, non stop, about 2 weeks en-route or 330 hours one way. Keep up the good work Captain! ⚓✈

Hey Ernie, another great video , the flight planning and the walk around the aircraft in PHX was professional and superb. As usual you always operate professionally and the scenery in Honolulu was excellent and you get to see the sunset. Great details on the route back to PHX. Have a great week.

That was one of your best videos to date Captain Big Ern! Loved it. I enjoy hearing about the struggle of being a junior captain at a very senior base...but at the same time, you have the big picture of a first year as a captain that was truly great AND you gave a shout out to the FA's you fly with every day Way to be humble, grounded and appreciative.

I heard a story from someone who went thru Falcon transoceanic recurrency training at Flight Safety (or somewhere) ... They said to have a Marine Traffic tracking app on your tablet downloaded. They gave a slow fuel leak scenario where you have time to plan... if you are going to ditch.. ditch in front of a freighter in a shipping lane. Makes sense.

Did that many times ( HNL-LAX) on a New United 747 when I had shore duty in the Navy ( '72-'73 )....... then seven years later the United Capt. that I flew with was a regular at my little airport ( Compton ) and sat with us on Saturday mornings in the hanger for our round table hanger flying meets....... was interesting to hear his stories about these trips.... and to find out he was the guy up front all those years ago...... Looks like you are doing a great job Big Ern, would love to do that trip again with you.😎

But it is so nice to back from a good layover with a nice tail wind pushing you along!!!☺ I see now my former airline is flying the 787s on the few non-stop flights to Hawaii. A few former coworkers have told me how the trios have been recently. I hear it is still nice.
