      its the most interesting ending tho. I believe Brian has married Kate, they were unable to produce children, and then adopted the new catgirl with magical powers...

      @@PaladineAvenger1 I really like this ending. Theoretically, Brian could go the same way about the company as João Sintra did, but I don't think he was that radical with any of his decisions (judging by how company was falling and rising back up slowly, he was actually learning how to make things work at Sintracorp, I honestly got the feeling that Brian had to work for a while here), except buying the little witch on the black market once again. He knew what mistakes he should avoid, he takes care of the new witch properly this time, even if none of it is actually sincere. This ending feels kind of rough and dark, yet honest with the player. LIke "If the company doesn't die off completely, this is the best thing that could happen to it". Perhaps Sintracorp didn't deserve to keep existing, maybe things are still not perfect in this place, yet I like the idea that Brian felt bad for people working in here, Hugo and Kate included, who didn't want the company to disappear. Plus, it creates some actual potential for the sequel, just maybe.

    I think making Chapman the ceo is the best ending now. You reject the company, everyone acknowledges your a hero (most of them), Kate knows about the witch and leaves with you, and you both punch Chapman and destroy the company on your way out. The company could only succeed with the witch so it wasn't worth saving.

  • @SexyBeamShooter
    @SexyBeamShooter 3 ปีที่แล้ว +89

    My favorite ending is Chapman as CEO, because haha fuck him and this company.
    In all seriousness, Chapman's fatal flaw is that he expects automatic success because of his upbringing while Sintracorp's is that they're willing to do anything for success but not willing to correct their mistakes, like buying a little girl on the black market then throwing bodies at the problem when that blows up in their face until it eventually gets resolved while their employees suffer for years.
    This ending serves as a wake-up call to both, as entitlement and apathy make a bad combination.

      The overall message does lean towards the idea that leadership of a group is ultimately something that'll crash in the end, as neither the Sintras (who started as middle class business owners), Chapman (Who started with everything) And Brian (Who started with nothing) could not run the company in a beneficial way at all.
      The only two "good" choices that aren't selfish that isn't a "bad ending" are either crashing the company through Chapman, or working for it now that it's "repaired" in the short term. Rei and Domori can only run it right because they're literally magic, and that can feel like a cop out.
      However, if you do the normal good ending, it turns out that there's even taller buildings in the city....
      And likely, loads more abuses inside them, even if Brian and Kate are starstruck. Sintracorp was actually a small company.

    Sintra has a sad death in the best ending. I wonder what its meant to symbolize. We know the company is evil and needs to go down and that keeping it alive would be immoral, so why is Sintras death so sad? Why was Sintra even a character at all? Is she meant to represent the victims of immoral companies being put to rest? Is she meant to represent the hopes and dreams that an immoral company can become good? I wonder...

    • @chainchomp3500
      @chainchomp3500 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      I felt it was more a victim of circumstances. She enables her sister, who is clearly mindbroken by this point if you allow her to return, and she now exists as a copy of who she actually was, the soul is gone, she is just a robot with her memories, trying to do what she thinks is right.
      I wouldn't call it sad, so much as it's acceptance over the circumstances and how she is now free of duty and can rest.

    honestly, the last ending here would probably be the real ending that creators of this chose. its both the worst and the best ending in my opinion. but i think the best is where we take the athame dagger from hugo and save domori and rei

    So which of the endings in this game would you say is the "best" ending in terms of how happy the characters are?
    I'm sure there's an objectively right answer to this and I'm just missing some information. The ending not shown in this video (since it's part of the original game) in which you save all your friends with the plastic knife and help Nomori get back together with someone who is essentially Rei seems like the best ending, but does that stop the curse on the company? Do all those Zombie people who are getting poisoned by gas or tortured by beasts get better because Nomori is happy?
    What causes the "rot" of the company? Nomori existing? Nomori disappearing? The fact that the company doesn't have a CEO? I'm sure this is answered somewhere in the game but I just forgot.
    Thanks for the upload!

    • @fishiesgaming
      @fishiesgaming  3 ปีที่แล้ว +33

      True, my assumption would be as long as domori’s alive, the curse is alive as well; if that assumption is true, the ‘happiest’ ending would be DLC ending (this vid) where Brian doesn’t succeed the company since the employees are all freed and tbh I don’t care if the company itself survives or not 😆 The ending where Rei succeed the company doesn’t feel sustainable since even tho Brian’s closest friends are happy and alive, the others aren’t, and i’m not sure Rei’s mature enough to run the company by herself and think about the employees’ wellbeing

      Finished the game recently and I'd say since the dlc ending makes it clear that that sintra (the robot) is not truly rei herself as the girls soul itself perished in domori's body when she got burned, so I believe that rei would be able to run the company somewhat competently since she was an AI that essentially managed the companies internal affairs

      I kinda disagree? It was not the buying of Domori that started this, but failing to keep her happy. I mean, it was obviously a tall order ("keep someone permanently happy" seems impossible to me without modifying brain chemistry, which is… Yeah, let's not walk this way), but, from what I understood, Rei's family was not happy - father concentrated on his work, mother longed for the past, Domori had the only friend and Rei… Huh. Rei was okay. Nonetheless, if Brian with, presumably, Kate would be better at maintaining the family, nothing like this would happen.
      By the way, I was sure that this would be one of the endings - Brian and Kate with Domori. I mean, the game guides you to this - the final part of DLC was all about being a surrogate parents and learning others errors to not repeat them. Imagine my surprise on the inevitable beheading!
      Side note: buying children on the black market, while certainly questionable on the first glance, may be objectively good act. After all, if no one would buy them, they will remain with their present owners - and, well, I can't see them being happy.
