Any video of the famous quote? “My friends they were dancing here in the streets of Huntsville when our first satellite orbited the Earth. They were dancing again when the first Americans landed on the Moon. I’d like to ask you, don’t hang up your dancing slippers."
@@bajaninnovations Why, to rewrite history? Nope, no can do. History and reality come in a package. With all the good, bad and ugly. Also it's like the most common joke made on Wernher von Braun since his biopic from 1960, called "I aim at the stars". It's even in the movie, spoken by James Daly, although with slightly different wording. Later promoted by Mort Sahl and other cynics alike. He was program manager of the first successful US satellite, after the NAVY blew it. He was the architect and chief engeneer for the NASA and designed and engeneered the Saturn V rocket for the Apollo program. BUT he also was chief engeneer, SS Sturmbanführer and chief engeneer in Mittelwerk/Mittelbau Dora. The good the bad and the ugly. Now he truly was a great scientist, that deserves the title "Father of the Rocket" because he basically single-handedly create everything to do with guided rockets, be it as weapons or tools to explorer space. but he definitely was not so great moralist, some would even say a war criminal. Still without Wernher, the US would not have gotten to the moon. The moon landing was btw. not really scientifically relevant. It was a highly successful PR stunt, a power move if you will (the second one after Hiroshima /Nagasaki), that postulated US hegemony for the next 50 years. the most relevant happening for space exploration was actually the murchison meteorite (bearing the oldest material on earth till today and bit more than a hundred amino acids (of which at least 20 have no equivalent on earth.) History is history if you like it or not.
You forgot to mention Nazi Germany. Without them, he wouldn't have become a famous rocket engineer who the American military wanted. He was a Nazi who created killer rockets for an evil government. Don't try to rewrite history.
There would be no man on the Moon without him.
A true rocket man !!

Have a nice day, stay save.
I said all men are created equal, yet I owned slaves.
Yah, two can play at that game.
I love that man. Without him, without President Kennedy, the moon landing would not have been possible.
