You had the right tool with the slip on wrench. What we use in our shop is a 12 point extended crowfoot wrench with an extension on the end of the slip on wrench works perfect

I use adjustable 16” plumbing pliers now and they work well

A strap works well for those oil filters.

We are about to get out 100 in the next 2 weeks. Been having the dealer do our maintenance in the 85 since we bought it. Also our s70. Any updates on that filter would be appreciated because I don't want to keep paying bobcat $350 apart from parts just to do these regular maintenance intervals. Great video!

I'm going to see if I can find a tool that is specific to that filter - im sure bobcat makes or sells something to remove it easier

Jack it up, put blocks underneath, or chain and lift with another piece of equipment, remove baseplate from underneath, the stupid side plate is impossible. WAY more room to work!!!

Poor placement of oil drain and filter. The more I work on this machine the more I see what little thought went into it.

Just for future reference you don’t have to tight that stuff that much, oil filter can be hand tight and drain plug can be wrench tight

Mt100 from the factory was the hardest oil change I've ever done. There is no room for anything. I did the screwdriver too. I absolutely shredded the filter still didn't work. The solution is easy once I figured out. You have a base plate under the machine!! Jack it up and there's way more room to remove the filter from underneath!

They make a oil filter wrench that has a strap, they work the best. Or a big pair of Chanel locks if you can’t get it off.

Everyone saying the MT100 is better than the SCL1000...at least it doesn't take 10 minutes to start draining the oil LOL.

      Ya oil drains super slow
Never used an SCL1000 so no comparison from me. MT100s been perfect for us since 2020

What is your experience with the mt100 ? I'm asking because I want to get one but a lot of guys are saying too many problems.

I’ve had it since June 2020 and love it. I wish it had a bit more lift capacity but it’s amazing machine. I’ve had zeros issues with it in the first 400 hours

Bruh, I feel like a dumb a$$.. I bought a light bar and had every intention of mounting it to the metal area just above where your is mounted. After seeing where you have your mounted ima just do that 🤣🤣🤣 cause the way I was going to go about doing it was overkill.

    What’s the oil capacity?

      @cadengifford8469 ปีที่แล้ว +1

3.81 quarts? Close to that anyway. Under a gallon

Sorry about that! There’s just a dip stick right under the hood of the machine. I’m pretty sure it says engine oil right on it

@@EliteLawnCareLandscaping alright thanks, just bought an mt85 used and want to try to change everything myself so the maintenance should hopefully be the same/similar to the mt100, thanks!

I was gonna ask as well.. they look pretty worn, or maybe its just the camera? Do the tracks wear fast?

It's funny how dirty this is and the owner has not done an oil change yet

Also a great tool for removing a filter is the human hand...lol but on a serious note I think I used a prybar and a hammer to get my original filter off, the goons at the bobcat factory must have screwed it on dry as tight as possible.
