    It's very cool to see you show the options available, the choices you've made, and the result afterwards. Awesome demonstration, Jason

    pretty much exactly how i would've styled it as well. maybe kept the jins a little bit longer but thinner for that even higher amount of contrast

    This looks great! I think the apex is what really sells it.
    I'm curious about how this will respond to this kind of styling. My junipers always die back pretty hard to even light pruning with lots of brown tips and such.

    🌳🌴🐨 hi .good info .I can see this in my junipers. still learning to sacrifice nice branches. getting there .Keith Australia

    really nice demonstration showing several options. I wonder though, if you had not used this tree for the video, would you have considered air-layering off the big right hand branch that you removed early on?

      I have a similar juniper & im planning to tilt it in position in spring (feb) & then air layer the thicker unwanted branches before styling it in monsoon (July / August)

    Hello, a question, in this case can it be transplanted into a definitive bonsai pot? or would that prevent / delay the tree foliage from completely filling and forming clouds? Thank you very much, greetings from Peru.

    I find the lower left branch may too heavy. It drops my eye below my perceived triangle.

    That's easy, get crooked tree, put in pot so it's slanted, cut a bunch of branches off, put on some wire to hold branches like dancers arms, water it, and there it is.......simple :)

  • @jyothilavigne2263

    Could you have made a cascade with this double branched tree?

    • @LounoirRecords
      @LounoirRecords 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      sure, why not (although it would be a semi-cascade). in this case you probably use the right side for the cascade and just shorten the left trunk in about half :) easily done as well, the material just doesn't lend itself too much into a full cascade (would look kinda odd ^^). take care

    Can we do this kind of work this time of year (November in North America) or is this an earlier video?

    • @easternleaf
      @easternleaf  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes, this was done this week. It's also a great time to repot!

    • @ericloscheider7433

      @@easternleaf awesome! I was afraid a big prune would take away all the energy from the tree before dormancy. I’m in the pre-bonsai training of a bunch of junipers and I’m trying to maximize the growth
