Going to maui next month w wife and 3 and 5 year old...what do recommend to pack as far as clothing? Staying for 10 days..thank you for all your time and advice!
I am still watching. One of the great benefits to people visiting and residents is that all the public pools are FREE. You just walk in with your swimsuit and towel. Some pool are new like in Kihei. I went to the one in Lahaina and one on the Big Island.

Should’ve gone back sooner
What a beautiful compact consolidation of all the beautiful things you can do on Maui. Being from Germany, I have been there more than 10 times and it is definitely my favourite island. And it is my personal hideaway in the world.
Pro tip: go to Napili Bay instead of Kapalua Bay. Much more user friendly and still great snorkeling.
By far ....... my favorite vacation spot! It's the U.S.A.; it's warm; has lots of sports, cute girls; and even their music is easy on the karma! Mahalo, people! Have fun! Love, Cav. *
The best part of your videos is the editing. I like how you show short 2 second clips and we see many different things.

I always stay in ka’anapali but we love driving to wailea and hanging out there for the day😁

Your little boy reminds me so much of my own at that age. He's so peaceful and content. He reaches for your hand to cross the street automatically, and trusts you 100%. It's the best job in the world watching out for a little one. Do your best to slow down and enjoy this time, which it looks like you already do 👍. One day you will be crossing the street together and realize he's not reaching for your hand and doesn't need to anymore, and the feeling of importance you have bumps down a notch, and it hurts your heart a bit. You all are so beautiful together, and you are giving your son a life full of beautiful experiences. He'll be as easy going as you are as an adult, and that is a job well done on your part. May God continue to bless your family 🙏
My son is 16 now,and still easy going, and a great kid, but I miss looking down at his wavy hair and holding his little hand and exploring the world around us together. It goes so fast.
I got a chance to visit Maui recently a month ago! It was honestly the most beautiful place I've ever been to. I stayed in Ka'anapali where a lot of the resorts are of course, and had so much incredible food. Even got to go snorkeling and ziplining. It just makes me wanna live there if it wasn't extremely expensive..

We squeezed so much into 4.5 days! We did both loop tours and agree that the West Maui loop is much more challenging than the Road to Hana. Plus many wild local drivers in West Maui. It was fun to do once but must be a confident driver!
Thanks for sharing but yes, we don't recommend going around the west side of the island. Residents do not want sightseers on that road and it is not well maintained. Thrill seekers should stick to the backside of Haleakala.

Just returned...stayed the week in Honokowai. We did just about everything: road to Hana, the lava fields at Makena, Kapalua, Kaanapal'i, sunset booze cruise and of course, a few stops for refreshments at Cheeseburger in Paradise! We're already planning our return in 2022.

We are doing well. Maui is recovering. The flooding was isolated to small areas of the windward side.

How long should you stay too explore?
A minimum of 2-weeks! Cannot rush this experience. Seven days is short and 14 days is perfect!
Don't come here please, we're going through a drought. The mayor is telling locals to restrict water usage yet all the hotels on Maui are plentiful. I understand the economy but just go to Florida instead, thanks. ALSO, DON'T TOUCH THE SEA TURTLES AND STOP WEARING SUNSCREEN THAT KILLS OUT REEF.
We, locals, are sick and tired of people thinking this is la la land. This is where people live, it has a lot of horrible history and America has yet to take responsibility for it. Inform yourself and respect the land and the people. DON'T BE A KAREN.

thank you for making this. we spent 10 days there and apparently we missed alot of good things to do. we did take the pineapple tour to get maui gold pinneaples and hit the maui ocean center to see the 3-d whales which is a can't miss as well. when we go back we will certainly rewatch this video for useful reminders for us mainland folk. lol. thanks again.

@@purni87 We’re staying at Noelani Condos, we’ve stayed before & enjoyed our time there. They offer 3 bdrms/2 1/2 baths w/ AC.. it’s perfect to accommodate our family with enough room for everyone & all condos are ocean view! It’s a hidden gem! 🌺

Aww! Love this place! I went to Maui a few years ago before and I am going back this year in August. We didn't get to go last year because of the pandemic. But that's okay. We're going now. I am going to do all this stuff and more. I've been to some of the places you mentioned but some of the places I haven't been to. We will check those out as well. This year we will be taking my aunt and my dad's childhood friend with my mom and my dad and me. They've never been and they're really excited about it. I am too. I really want to spend some time with my aunt and everybody. My favorite thing to do in Maui is Whaler's Village. That place is so neat. I also like the Lahaina Cannery Mall. It was close to our resort the last time we were there. But we are staying in a condo at the El Dorado Resort. It's a VRBO. Hopefully that will be close to everything in Kaanapali. Been coming for years, honeymoon onwards with our toddler. This is one of the most comprehensive lists of places to try. With our baby, Baby Beach is a go to, but it was a real treat to watch all this. The best thing about it is there's so much more to explore/enjoy beyond this.
