      Thanks Joseph,
Yes, the hip is doing well and I managed to get round the velodrome today okay, albeit very slowly... Thanks for watching.
      Take care.

Hi Paul, I'm sorry to hear your sad news. I'm sure your children have appreciated your support and care.
I saw your name pop up in a couple of Emma's instas today.
I think your perfectly right about the exercises for building strength for when you need it. Been reflecting on this over the last few days as my knee is playing up, probably tendons. It had a hard life playing football so needs some strengthening. Some of the paths I've been following recently have been really steep!!
Hopefully see you back in your workshop soon.
    All the best!!

      Hello David,
Thanks, I should be in the workshop again soon...
I think building strength for when you need it is really important especially as we get older... I feel the exercises I am now doing will slowly get me there.
      Take care.

Your recovery from the hip operation sounds like it’s going very well. I’m impressed that you are able to contemplate a stint at a velodrome. Take care and enjoy yourself. 👏👏👍

      Thanks Andrew,
The hip is really good, I am a bit nervous about the velodrome, but it will be great if I can do it without any issues.
      Take care

Hi Paul. Thank you for being so open about your experience. I broke my hip cycling last year and now need a hip replacement. Do you have any limitations in riding in a road race bike position given how much we cyclists lean forward and simultaneously flex our hips to bring our knees upward toward our chests as we pedal. Do you find you have to sit in a more upright posture?
