Thank you so much 😊 I am so loving the sweet penguin too...and I started trst stitching the other design now...I know I'm biased but I think it's just too cute!
Your videos are always so well made, informative & cleaver. I’ve learned so much & since I’ve been stitching for 50+ years that’s saying something. Your HAED piece is absolutely remarkable…what an accomplishment. Keep up the good work!
OH!! Your animal shelf is STUPENDOUS. Well done you for such wonderful work and congratulations on the framing. It is a splendid piece of work. I do love the way you place a picture with stitching details of each project you are working on on the screen. Great video as always.
Thank you and it definitely helps to have a framer who not only knows his stuff but knows my personal style so can suggest what I will really like. He's awesome 😄
Wow wow wow the Animal Kingdom is amazing well done. I’ve put 2 projects into time out as Christmas stitching is calling. I’m ok with that. We can only do what we can. Lovely stitching, super patterns. Have a good ‘stitchy time’❤❤
Thank you 😊 Nice to know it's not just me feeling the pull of Christmas stitching! I'll be so excited when I get back to the projects that are in time out so I agree, it's really not a bad thing. Enjoy your Christmas stitching too 😄🩷
I own the Animal HAED pattern but have been hesitant to start it. Each time I watch your videos, I think about it again. The final framed display is beautiful. I would stop and look at it each time I passed by too. Congrats.
Thanks so much, and I am so enjoying my finish every time I see it. I hope you will stitch it one day; it was a lovely fun piece to stitch...yes, even with the confetti 😂😄
Congratulations to you (and your framer) on the beautiful Heaven and Earth piece. You will be able to enjoy it forever, now. 1:37 When you said "I have no stash", I thought you meant you'd used up everything you own - ALL of it, including the lifetime supply of thread and twine. 😳🤣 Re: the Merry Christmas santa piece - I think it's perfectly ok to leave the snowflakes off and call it finished. You've explored multiple options and none seem right - to add something you're not entirely happy with would only irritate you every time you looked at it in future. There's enough white speckle in the blue around Santa to give it texture and interest without being distracting to the eye. And yes please, on the coaster tutorial! Friends of mine are getting married early next year, and I'm thinking of personalising a gift - a pair of coasters with their names and wedding date etc may be just the thing. But I'd want it to look extremely neatly and professionally finished, otherwise I'm not keen for it. See you in the next one. 👍
Thank you for your lovely comments; I so appreciate your thoughts and suggestions. I do think I will leave the Christmas friends as it is and just enjoy it. A supply of new coaster blanks arrived today so I am holding myself accountable to that tutorial next Wednesday! I am the same that if I'm going to do something I want it to be the absolute best it can be so I hope it will be a helpful video 🤞
OMG!!! You made desire to frame everything I stitch. I’ll save many every month for the future frame. If you divide the price for 48 months it would be cheap 😊
So happy to hear you're enjoying my videos and finding them inspiring 😊 The Historical Sampler Company Advent design is on green 16 count Aida. I don't think any of my projects at the moment are on linen; the Chromatic Dragon and Rossa (mermaid) are on evenweave. Hope you're having fun starting out on your cross stitch journey 😄
I have just discovered your channel when I say your HAED pop up in the thumb nail. I’m not sure I’ve seen anyone else finish one that big. It is amazing. I’ve just gone and watched your video with the details so I thought I’d share some thoughts. I bought my first HAED chart in 2010 and at the time was going to stitch it for my sons office after all it’s just cross stitch right? Little did I know what goes into stitching a HAED and that was pre app days. The chart is Cruising the Information Highway by Randal Spangler. I’ve stitched on it on and off over the years. Was hearing about patternkeeper but would have had to buy another device as mine is an iPad. Last year I discovered MarkUp R-XP and it’s changed my stitching. (By the way you can set daily targets and you get confetti when you reach it). My son turns 40 (oh my!) in December and at the beginning of the year my daily target was a generous 300 stitches. Sadly the events of the year prevented that from happening but I have got back to it and with a new daily target of 400 st the expected finish date is Feb 20 which I am more than happy about. I will give it to him incomplete and he will know why. My son also does some cross stitch when he has time and it has been so hard not to let him know about this project. I do stitch in a hoop but stitch in a similar progression as you. This project is 1 over 1 on 22ct but I do have a couple of others started 1 over 1 on 25ct. Stitching just on 1 HAED has been so exciting watching the progress. Love your idea of a pic every 1%. Maybe I will do that on my next project. Thank you so much for sharing. It has definitely spurred me on. Love your new piece and when I saw it whilst browsing a while back thought it would be amazing. I am also careful when I choose a HAED or similar to ensure there is plenty of detail and minimal plain background. I have subscribed to you so will enjoy watching your progress. I also have a flosstube channel but with the events of this year has been very haphazard. Maybe I’ll get around to film one soon. Thank you once again. Happy stitching.
Hey, thanks so much for your lovely and detailed comments! I knew getting into a HAED would be a long term project but I actually thought it would take me 5 years and it took me 4, so I was super pleased with that. I'm stitching the dragon much slower though, so I can work on lots of other projects too. I do like the Randall Spangler designs; they are so fun! I'm amazed you have kept the project secret from your son for so long, and I bet he will be thrilled with it whenever he gets it. I'm also so delighted to hear my videos have inspired you; that's really all I can ask for - yay!! I'll definitely keep an eye out for any new flosstube videos from you.
Can you do a video on how you organize your projects ? I mean when to stitch what ? I tried to be single project person .. but there are so many Amazing patterns out there 😂. I predominantly stitch free patterns .. but i need managing multiple projects ideas please 🥺
Yes, I can definitely talk a bit more about this but I'm still finding my way with multiple WIPs. I have always had 2-3 projects on the go but now generally have more, maybe 8-10 and find it does need a bit more 'management' 😂
Great ideas for snow effect on fabric 😃 In this particular case the snowflakes are on top of a fully cross stitched area, but I think I've decided just to leave them off.
Your HAED piece is stunning! Congrats on your beautiful finished and framed piece of art.
Thanks so much 😄 I'm really enjoying seeing it on display 😄
Your penguin is so cute and plump! Looking forward to seeing it completed.
Thank you and of course I'm biased but I do think he's adorable! I've started test stitching the 2nd design now too...so exciting 😄🐧
The finishes look amazing especially the heaven and earth animal picture.
Thank you; I'm so happy with them 😄

Love the fact all your work is ironed @nicely presented
Ha ha...yup, washing and ironing finished pieces is a must do for me!
Super video. Your stitching is beautiful. 😃
Aww, thank you; that's lovely to hear 😊
Omg I love your FFOs, and all your stitches! Excellent video as always!
Thank you for joining me again for my stitchy nonsense 😊

Lovely work on all of your projects, the framers did a marvellous job on your animal project.looks fab.

I cannot imagine the cost of framing a project of that size. It's stunning
Thank you 😊 The cost wasn't as bad as you might think, and worth it for something that took nearly 4 years to stitch!
@@catkinandlillie absolutely! I agree. Worth every penny to get it displayed after all that time and effort.

@@juci8198It is so lovely having pieces framed ..but I don't do it for all my pieces. I love finding other creative ways to finish smaller projects 😄
Maybe you can use seed beads for the snow. Thanks for everything😊🪅
That's a lovely idea to use seed beads. So glad you are enjoying my videos 😄
I would use seed beads for your stars
Thanks for the great suggestion 😄
Wow! Really great, thank you for inspiring me! Especially the Advent one. Is that on linen? (I'm a beginner!)

Could a fabric pen work for your snow? Sometimes aida or linen comes with spots on them.
