Teresa Teng was a heaven sent angel, the greatest singer in recorded music history in my view. I'm a 70 year old North Texas rural farmer, from the Texas cowboy culture. Teresa Teng's music and legacy inspired my personal admiration, respect and love for my wonderful Asian Brothers and Sisters. In the end, we're all part of the human race. Teresa wanted to bring East and West closer together. In my heart, she did that the first time I heard her matchless music. Many thanks from rural North Texas. There's so much to love about China and its people, including music, but they've placed themselves in a poor position. Places like Taiwan and Hong Kong are true beacons of hope for China and Asia. The Chinese government, on the other hand, sees them as threats and prizes to conquer. I think this backdrop makes these wonderful songs much more sorrowful. I really hope the inevitable changes come sooner rather than later.
