That big folding grubber would be good for drying out the land after potatoes before you drill wheat and fairly cheap compared to newer/fancier machines
Boom fert spreader’s don’t work as their best on a damp day unless newer ones can overcome the issue. My boss used to have a Accord/ Ferranti one at 12 metre. It’s best feature was the quick attachment A frame.
Another yard, another excellent blog!! - there must be loads of (expensive) equipment just sitting in dealers yards around the country? Great to see Ian still laughing!! Mint sauce on chips?? Weird. 😊
We had a mounted 24m amazone boom spreader in the mid 90s, it didn't like sloping ground or damp fert. Mint sauce on chips! I'll have to try that next Friday😂
The Fert spreader like that with pipes were popular years ago but only about 6 metre spread Ideal if its windy conditions. The hydraulic cylinders on axle are they to keep spreader heads level on uneven ground
No comment on the mint sauce. Air Fert spreader looks clean, had a hit on the left boom hence plastic pipes and air gap that you showed. I used one back in the early 80's (Ferranti) I think. It was as rusty as 60's/70;s Fiat car. Slightest bit of damp and it would be forever blocking up the outlet pipes.
Great video Olll it's great when you look a round dealership yards ... can you tell me how you work out what wight a tractor can tow please as I see a lot of tractors and trailers loaded up .. and thinking how can this pull the trailer ..thanks 😊😊😊 30%
Given me an idea for #biochar application for the future 75% as ive got a painful knee and foot. Loved the flyby of p&b! Lazy dogs only working till 4.30pm😂
I like tuna on pizza but mint sauce on chips... Your defo on the weirdo foodie list above me! 😂 😂 😂 Little bird tells me you like mint sauce on your kebab though, defo agree with that one 😂 🤤
Re y'day. If possible/ affordable /practical....the cobbled yard should be saved or renewed not covered up or dug up and covered in concrete ! Farming history, when gone , it's gone ! And that would be a great shame !👍
im fussy with my sauces, mint for lamb or beef, apple for pork or chicken, and only tomato on chips - gravy is a sin on chips but mint on chips?? thats some how even worse... i thought this was a respectable blog??? :D 95% today made some great progress on home improvements but had to fill a skip by hand on my own so having a drink until my arms stop hurting!
You do realise Olly that 50% of us will be trying mint sauce on chips in the next week. 😂😂. You love a walk round a big yard just incase you miss a good deal 😂😂. 45%
Yet another great video olly thank you, yes mint on chips often happens here if I cook lamb steaks. Not much joy here today failed TB test after 3 years clear. Take care.
As flat as your hat? No, flatter than that! 130% today; only 2 yellow cars but one metallic purple one, one Ford Asbo (Focus ST in metallic orange) and yellow lorry red lorry. And I'd rather currywurst with chips than mint sauce with chips.
More like a sprayer than a fert spreader certainly entertaining going rounds these. Yards must be millions of pounds sat in Dealers. Yards sat doing nothing Olly you can put mint sauce on anything whatever you fancy feeling 90% today another very interesting video Olly so much content

That big folding grubber would be good for drying out the land after potatoes before you drill wheat and fairly cheap compared to newer/fancier machines
The weight frame go on the front of the swathers when on the road to help stability and balance
They get a good tank slapper on when going down the road!👍
Boom fert spreader’s don’t work as their best on a damp day unless newer ones can overcome the issue. My boss used to have a Accord/ Ferranti one at 12 metre. It’s best feature was the quick attachment A frame.
Always been interested in those spreaders, seems like your always waiting on calm to spread then the spraying and fert all comes together
Another yard, another excellent blog!! - there must be loads of (expensive) equipment just sitting in dealers yards around the country? Great to see Ian still laughing!! Mint sauce on chips?? Weird. 😊
That's because farmers are being paid not to grow crops. Why would they need all this equipment.?
We had a mounted 24m amazone boom spreader in the mid 90s, it didn't like sloping ground or damp fert. Mint sauce on chips! I'll have to try that next Friday😂
Mint sauce on chips 😮 that's a new one
Each to their own
I was down your neck of the woods last Saturday looking at a combine through morris corfields. Kuhn spreader looks complicated 😳👍
The Fert spreader like that with pipes were popular years ago but only about 6 metre spread Ideal if its windy conditions. The hydraulic cylinders on axle are they to keep spreader heads level on uneven ground
I put mint sauce on mushy peas. If it works for you go for it.

Another interesting visit to a yard. I could look round agricultural machinery all day. Mint sauce on chips, that’s not weird just plain wrong 😳
No comment on the mint sauce. Air Fert spreader looks clean, had a hit on the left boom hence plastic pipes and air gap that you showed.

Mint sauce on chips, I do like it but don’t often do it
If you push the cobra thru first to where the end of the duct is, then tie the rope to it, pull it back the then connect your cable to it much easier
They tried that first and wouldn’t go
I always use cobra to draw cable as it steers it
Mint sauce is good on almost anything
The weaving drill is what Clarckson has now. No mint sauce on chips but definitely love pineapple on pizza.
I wouldn't like mice on my chips, just like you.

Vinegar ,the devil's work!!!
Any comments on farm protests. When are uk farmers going to take more direct action?
If you mention the name of the manufacturer of that spreader, will TH-cam demonise the video?
Why would they?
Yet another great video olly thank you, yes mint on chips often happens here if I cook lamb steaks. Not much joy here today failed TB test after 3 years clear. Take care.

Brigg the only town featuring 3 major Tractor Dealers and a pub called the Dieing Gladiator.
