I got the mega5est recently, influenced by your review. I am also now thinking about getting the Studio 4's. Which set do you prefer and which do you listen to more?
@@IcarsisTV Np lol I actually prefer DaVinci for daily usage and will definitely use it more than S4, because it's more relaxing and fun to listen, while S4 remains the same position of HD6xx for me, as a cross reference point for monitoring.
@@Zen.bassoon S4, because dealing with sound is part of my life (albeit not a pro), I want to keep a set that makes it easier to deal with sound in general.
Don't worry, I don't think S4 will be discontinued anytime soon, due to the position it aims for. Regarding to KATO, im using silver nozzles, eartips wise, i was using acoustune aex70 & aet07, now im just using a normal M eartips that came with EM6L (which is reminiscent to aet07).
Unfortunately, the only 4.4 cable on my hand is the one came with DaVinci, and im not even using it, sooooo really can't make any recommendation on it, sry :/
Mean you said the words in my heart. What can even be an upgrade to Kato? I am not a rich ass dude. I get it if i buy some noble audio shit it might be better. But price to performance. Its very difficult to play that game. Its borderline impossible for me to pick another iem without listening to one myself. I am waiting for a chance to do that.
It's 天球の奇蹟 (Miracle of the globe) from visual novel Sakura no Uta, while you can find the CD/flac version of it somewhere else in the internet, you can also have a listen on: th-cam.com/video/iIM9qvNXt9Y/w-d-xo.html
@@phuocnguyentuan64 Comparing to B3, B3 has better comfort for my ears, bass wise it's faster on B3 (both are concrete), overall note texture wise, B3 is on the clearer/lite/thinner side, with more metallic bite on vocal/instrument. Comparing to Monarch MK2, comfort wise it's the worst out of the three, the bass on mk2 is the least concrete out of the 3 (but with more quantity) as well, but it shines the best in complex tracks with very good source separation quality and a lot of soft details, overall note texture wise, MK2 is again on the thinner/lite/airy side, but with the biggest imaging out of the 3. (big, lite, with a lot of soft details.)
I bought alot of 100-250$ IEM's over the past 4-5 years.. The first thing i said when i listened to it the first time was.. What am i going to do with with all this crap?!?!?! (my other IEM's) 🤣 I bought the S4 like half year ago and still get goosebumps when i listen to it on a simple 25$ CS 46 chip on my phone lol In my opinion it has perfect bass and mids, you can listen to anything and for hours.
I have never owned a pair of mega5est so really cannot comment much on it, but for the longest time Im not a fan of hexa and I'll even take Red over it, so probably, yes...?
I got SA6MK2 like a week ago and it is my first ever BA set, all I had were all single DD iems. Had KATO, HBB Olina SE, QKZ X HBB, BLON X HBB and recently Origin. What I'm trying to say is as much as I like the SA6MK2 for what it is, BA bass is lacking and for you to say that Softear Studio4 is the closest upgrade to KATO(my 1st iem ever) got me feeling a little conflicted. Maybe a Studio 5 with a 4 BA and a single DD could be my end game, I honestly prefer SA6MK2 over all the single DDs I have but that bass got me craving for more. I use ifi go blu with xbass on and the bass still come across a bit pillowy lacking that attack, slam and punch.
The BA bass in SA6MK2 comes with a pillowy form, but the BA bass in Studio 4 comes with a concrete/concentrated form (albeit with less quantity), that's the difference. I'd suggest demoing both Studio 4 and DaVinci if you like Kato's sound and want an upgrade for it.
@@catadegen Interesting, I was gonna get DaVinci but the SA6MK2 were USD150 off so I got those instead; don't regret a bit at all, love SA6MK2 for what it does and fits me like a CIEM. Thanks!

I fell in love with the studio 4 when I demo'd it. wish I could afford it though😂.

have you tried any iem bluetooth adapters?
I personally tried bt20 pro on kinera wyvern and nova i think its worth it for budget iems
I've only tried Little White from my brother, while it sounds ok, I'd just use TWS for outdoor purposes.
Great video! Would love to buy a pair.

I know you probably haven't tried the Mega5-EST, but would you say it's the best upgrade from the Hexa? Since they both have that neutral signature
