Oh My Gosh, I love the zipper binder idea with the card holder sheets... what a great idea! I never thought of that... I bought one of those file holders that fold out into a fan when you open them from the dollarstore, and was using that to hold all my left over drills, but the binder would actually keep them organized by number, I love it.
Thanks for the great video. After watching it, I actually found the sauce containers in a smaller size and use an empty egg carton that holds 30 as a tray. I think the sauce containers were $4.40 for 250. They are actually much more durable than I thought and survived the multiple opening and closing. Thanks for the inexpensive idea.
So that's what DMC #s are. Interesting to know it's the same code/colors for cross stitching. I cross stitched all the time before I came across diamond art. Both are great hobbies and very rewarding when you finish your masterpiece!!
I love this video Nataliya! I started with the Darice container system. Then I moved on to another system that cost even more. Do you know where they are now? In my craft closet, empty! I bought the small zip lock bags from Dollar Store and a plastic basket and now that’s all I use. Much cheaper and quicker so that I can begin my diamond painting right away. Keep up the excellent work!
I have just started this craft & like it very much. This video was perfect, for storage solutions, as I have difficulty opening any those zip lock bags. I need the ones with like a zipper pull!!🤷🏻♀️🤷🏻♀️ You however gave such different options love the little cups with the covers, I’m going to my Dollar Tree to see if I can get them😊😊 Also the prescription bottles, I just threw out bunches!! Thanks for the tips!!
I really like the medicine container and coffee caddy solution, I also take monthly medications and so they are free to me! Thanks for sharing another great and helpful video!
Thank you so much Kim for your comment. Collect those containers now, because i wish you really soon to get better and get out of those meds. Stay healthy and creates beautiful canvases
I love getting new storage containers! I would say my favorite are the Craftmate lockables but I also like the cheaper cube style cases that you can order off Amazon... great ideas in this video!!
I love to know someone else uses pill bottles, it also keeps less in the landfill. The best idea was the baseball card holders to store drills,I plan to try that one myself.
Thank you, gray ideas. My first painting only had 5 little zip lock bags and I had 19 colors, doo I did buy a tray with containers. I think I'll take your idea of the larger one for storage when not in use. Also like the baseball card idea. In need section I found youI can get the little bags in several sizes, and Very inexpensive.
Another great video, I used to take lots of medications but thankfully, now I don't so I don't have access to as many pill cases. But from the dollar store I get the small, clear bags that are good quality plastic and they are only $1.25 Canadian for 72 bags. I have been buying lots of small kits so they work out well to organize my drills. I was thinking of buying those big kits online to store my drills but decided instead to use the small baggies and save my money for more DP kits. I do like you did with the bags and when I'm working on my project I keep them in order in a plastic tray. I can't wait for your next instruction video.
Thank you so much Peikathryn, we agree this is an awesome storage solution you have organized! :) P.S We are pleased to hear you no longer need your medications!! Whoohoo for great health!
Just started doing this and it’s so fun! I got a Pokémon diamond painting kit for $9 off the ‘zon 🙏🏼 too fun. I for sure need a better way of storing/organizing the little beads though.
I tried all kind of storage but not pill boxes just yet 😄. I used to do baggies, then I “upgraded” to the round clear plastic boxes in a case and I also have one of those expensive Darice containers. My spares are in baggies all into one plastic tray - I’m a relative beginner, I don’t have that many yet. But I do write in the baggies where I got them from, as some drills are poor quality and I don’t want them mixed with the good ones. I still think the baggies are the easiest and cheapest solution and it makes use of the thousands of baggies we accumulate each time we get a kit!
What does the acronym “DMC” stand for? What’s the point of having the DMC code for diamond paintings? Wouldn’t it be easier to just send the drills inside the bags in zip lock bags?
My cover plastic sheet got stuck on the back side. I had to pull it off. Now my drills won’t stick in some areas. I have to glue the drills on with a toothpick. What do you recommend for glue.... then when dry I want to use Mod Podge as a sealant. What do you recommend?
I just started this hobby in December and I've only done 3 so far, but I'm wondering if there is a system for logging the drills? The dmc charts seem expensive, does anyone have any ideas on this that may be cheaper yet efficient?
I keep trying to find container for big bags ones on TH-cam and their all explaining their all small and I’m like mine is big not small the container I can only find are for the small ones
Love the ideas in this video. One question, are the numbers dedicated to a color the same for all diamond art kits? Example, is 904 the same color for all kits?
For a really big diamond painting that has 40 or more colors I use the CraftMates Lockables, Use the 60% off coupon at Michaels and you can get one for under 10.00. Now that is a bargain!!! :)
Who works with the dmc number? The canvas isn't using dmc... They are using a letter or numbers or silly symbols. When you said 725 why don't you use what the leger says that matches to the canvas. If it says "Y" go with that. Forget the dmc code although. Am I the only one that does it my way???? When I finish the project and give it to someone I give them the left over beads with the leger, a pen, a green tray, and the pink sticky stuff. I don't need those beads.

Absolutely! and the bags take up so little space! We find it to be the best solution too :)
Acetone you use to remove the permanent marker should also remove any sticky residue left over when you take off a label
Great tip! Thanks so much Samantha! :)
Loved it

Can I ask what size canvases those are I like working on big diamond paintings not small
Currently our large size is 40x50cm but our V2.0 release in february features sizes as big as 60x80!
Are the drill color numbers the same throughout all companies?
My cover plastic sheet got stuck on the back side. I had to pull it off. Now my drills won’t stick in some areas. I have to glue the drills on with a toothpick. What do you recommend for glue.... then when dry I want to use Mod Podge as a sealant. What do you recommend?
I heard a strong pritt stick is good
Please tell me where I can find the coffee cup revolving holder for the drill containers?
I just started this hobby in December and I've only done 3 so far, but I'm wondering if there is a system for logging the drills? The dmc charts seem expensive, does anyone have any ideas on this that may be cheaper yet efficient?
You could cut out your legend after you are finished and keep all your leftover drills in a sandwich bag with the legend inside
Thank you
I keep trying to find container for big bags ones on TH-cam and their all explaining their all small and I’m like mine is big not small the container I can only find are for the small ones
Our kits come with enough small baggies to hold all of the diamonds. Do you prefer working with larger sandwich size bags?
Love the ideas in this video. One question, are the numbers dedicated to a color the same for all diamond art kits? Example, is 904 the same color for all kits?
Yes they are:) Thanks Bree!

Hey GF. Yes i love when i can use coupons at Michael's. My fave store.😘
Never thought of my pill bottles. 23 a month.
Wow, that is a lot. I wish you get better very soon
