Calendar was the main programme for the whole of Yorkshire and it covered all the regional news stories from Leeds and West Yorkshire, Sheffield and South Yorkshire, York and North Yorkshire and Hull, East Yorkshire and Lincolnshire.
This would have aired the same night that Bobby's life support machine was switched off in Home and Away (for UK viewers). This likely aired immediately after that.
Great seeing these old videos again. The news story about the driver whose lorry crashed at Sowerby Bridge in 1993, and was related to my friend's dad who is sadly no longer with us. I remember coming home from a day out with my friend, to find his parents looking very distraught indeed. The driver bravely steered the lorry away from a group of school children, knowing this would mean he died instead. His brother I think was in Australia and had not seen him since moving there decades ago; he returned to England to attend the funeral. I cannot believe it is nearly 23 years ago.
12:48: They talked about the horses, the races and the surviving and the deaths of the horses and 10:13: Christine Talbot reported the news and Julie Lockwood reported the security cameras in Doncaster in South Yorkshire in England in the UK.

Great too see more 1990's news online.

That actually aired before the ITN Early Evening News which was shown on Yorkshire Television before Calendar.
The news centre studio was the best set Calendar ever had
John Shires, Gaynor Barnes and Christine Talbot.........Still regular presenters on the programme 21 years later.
Jason King John Shire and Gaynor Barnes have moved to East Yorkshire I think
Oh if only I could go back in time to Feb 94!

Those graphics at 00:00 I believe was used until September 1994 then they changed them and the theme tune
Christine Talbot still looks a bit 1980s @ 5:12 though rather yummy.
Still is.
+cgisarecrap I'd love to see some programmes from around 1988 / 1989, as I seem to remember her looking truly stunning and younger.
