La Hermandad de las Penas, cuya denominación oficial es Venerable Hermandad de la Caridad en Cristo Nuestro Señor y Cofradía de Nazarenos del Santísimo Cristo de la Agonía, María Santísima de las Penas, Reina y Madre, y Santo Domingo de la Calzada, es una corporación nazarena de Málaga, miembro de la Agrupación de Cofradías de Málaga, que participa en la Semana Santa malagueña en la tarde del Martes Santo.
Se fraguó en los años inmediatos al estallido de la Guerra Civil, más concretamente en 1935, en la iglesia conventual de las Catalinas. En 1966 estableció su sede canónica en la Iglesia del antiguo hospital de San Julián. De manos de ciertos hermanos, adquiriría su actual impronta estética y procesionista, contando en la actualidad con un Oratorio propio en la zona de Pozos Dulces.
The Brotherhood of Sorrows, whose official name is Venerable Brotherhood of Charity of Our Lord and Brotherhood of Nazarenes of the Santísimo Cristo De La Agonía, María Santísima De Las Penas, Reina Y Madre Y Santo Domingo De La Calzada, is a corporation of Nazarene from Málaga, a member of the Association of Brotherhoods of Málaga, who participates in Holy Week in Málaga on the afternoon of Holy Tuesday.
It was forged in the years immediately after the outbreak of the Civil War, more specifically in 1935, in the convent church of Las Catalinas. In 1966 he established his canonical headquarters in the Church of the old hospital of San Julián. From the hands of certain brothers, it would acquire its current aesthetic and procession imprint, currently having its own Oratory in the Pozos Dulces area.
