      I'm an investment banker and grocery stores are overwhelming for me too. Not certain what happened to him, but trauma can break weird shit in your brain. I'm a successful professional with a master's degree and I still have a panic attack in the grocery store on occasion.

    • @winry2357

      @@CSpottsGamingnot sure what you do for a living, but because I get panic attacks when surrounded by a lot of people, I don’t do any jobs where I’m expected to speak in front of crowds and I avoid rocking any boats at work, which is next to impossible for most politicians. I don’t go to the grocery store either. I get my groceries delivered. Then I only buy what I need. Walmart had a deal on their app for Walmart+ for $40 for the year around Black Friday, so I jumped for that deal. I don’t do any spontaneous purchases on junk food because I don’t see it while I’m at the store. Saves me money and calories and I don’t have to go among the crowds. Having social anxiety and being overwhelmed by crowds doesn’t stop one from grocery shopping. It does sound really weird when he is willing and able to be a politician though.

    • @CSpottsGaming
      @CSpottsGaming 8 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

      @@winry2357 I'm not especially anxious around people (I mean, a little social anxiety but nothing crippling).
      In my case, I'm pretty sure my grocery store issues are related to the fact that I was grocery shopping when I found out my dad was half dead in the hospital (he recovered, thankfully).
      My larger point, though, is that specific actions can cause you problems without pointing to some fundamental inadequacy in you. This guy can have anxiety about grocery stores without that meaning he's unfit to be in politics (in much the same way that my grocery store panic attacks don't mean I can't handle my high stress job).
      I love my grocery deliveries though. I don't get as panicky now as I once did so I would shop in person if it was feasible, but I have to walk there because of where I live and walking a long distance with groceries is complete ass.

    Hey Caleb as someone who is currently on the SAVE plan for student loan repayment I just wanted to let you know that you are misinterpreting what the plan actually does.
    If you are on the SAVE plan interest does NOT accrue. Depending on your income your minimum monthly payment is also very very low. For borrowers that make under 37,000$ a year the minimum monthly payment is 0$. Being that this guy only makes about 40,000$ I believe his payment would be only about 20$ a month which could really help him however the SAVE repayment plan is capped at a certain income somewhere in the 100,000$ a year range. So every person will be different but one thing stays the same. No interest accrual.
    It works very well for borrowers with high interest rates or large balances. I think it would be a great tool for this guy to at least focus on his other debts and gain wealth before deciding to fully pay them off.

    This show has given me so much insight. As well ive now implemented a new idea to pay off debts (maybe its dumb, idk) but if I am ever going to order out/buy something I DONT need, I find that total and then pay that amount into lowering my debt.

    • @luksaantono2311
      @luksaantono2311 9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I don’t want to say it’s dumb, but I feel like it’s pretty counter-productive to your goal of getting out of debt. Ordering out and buying things you don’t need will just extend the amount of time you’re paying off debt. It took me like a decade to pay off my credit cards because I wasn’t disciplined on those things you mentioned. It’s hard to buckle down and stick to the budget, but it’s so worth it.
