- Hey everyone! We're so happy that Finn is here! He is the sweetest, cutest, strongest little guy! He has had to work hard and was put through a lot, it has been heartbreaking at times! But we're beyond grateful that he has continued to get better! Thank you so much for all of the love and prayers sent our way, they have truly been felt and needed and so appreciated!

Good luck with your medical studies!! The nurse was so kind and calm when she brought Finn to Kayli and explained the issue, then need for some add’l testing etc…What a gem!

Found out they lied to make a buck
She said incubator check to see what that means vs ventilator and proven incubated babies more likely to get mental health issues and maybe the real reason for this
After all with an earlier c section (even though kayli didnt want one) all liquid issues gone the baby shouldn't have been trying to go down the birth canal and its head in the right position to I worry that they really donked and allowed the baby to start thst impossible path making things worse
@Moccalatte61 of course my comment questioning this stuff and calling it put as profiteering went away and I thought anybody that could have given insight then you could have with the comment being removed it tells me everything I need to know kayli got had and her baby got set up to fail and why incubators rarely get used because all they do is keep the baby warm 0 with breathing and other issues ventilators get needed
Let me know about anything being off about that also sonagrams never used to check for brain damage a cte scan must be used for that especially with hair impossible to see the brain it must show skull only or nothing at all

Praying for you guys! I had a 28 weeker. She was intubated for about 27 hours, moved to a CPAP for about 4 days, nasal cannula for 28 days, then room air! My daughter had belly button lines, ultrasounds on her brain&spinal tap too. We couldn’t hold her for 6 days after she was born. She spent 75 days in the NICU&she’s now 5 months old. NICU babies are warriors&so are NICU mommas!

I just went through this 2 weeks ago, same story but baby was early. She stayed 7 days in the nicu and came home healthy and breastfeeding. It was so hard leaving the hospital, pumping, nicu visits, and managing kids at home. It isnt easy. And i cried a lot. Hang in there and take every day as a blessing and try not to think about what lies ahead. Stay in the moment.😊

Having a baby in the nicu is without doubt the biggest rollercoaster ever! The ups and downs are so hard to wrap your head around. Sending love and prayers to little Finn. Babies are Tiny in body but huge in strength 💙💙

Prayers. My last baby was born with pneumonia and was in the NICU for 2 weeks. It was so hard to leave the hospital without her. It was such a hard time for our family and she was so sick but we got through it and she is now a healthy 6 year old. I know how hard it can be. 🤍

Welcome to the world sweet boy!! Sending you guys all the love and support💛 even as an l&d nurse it never gets easier seeing babes go to NICU, but he’s where he needs to be right now, and you’ll have all the newborn snuggles before you know it! This will soon be a memory and story that you tell him when he’s older! Hope you guys and little boy get some much needed rest!!

Oh Kayli seeing little one being born and having some troubles was exactly what happened to me. I was 240 lbs before I had my son and 160 by 2 months postpartum!! Tons of fluids! It is so scary, please take your time processing this experience and don’t be afraid to do some EMDR therapy. It’s a lot. Sounds like he is on CPAP now not a ventilator?? This was also my
Sons path. Bless you all! You are great parents.

I’m 5 weeks pp from a c section and man.. this brought me back. Watching Kayli close her eyes and wince during the pressure.. i knew exactly what she was feeling and I was right back in that room with her. What a wild feeling. I remember looking at my husband and my eyes were basically popping out of my head because I was so surprised at the amount of pressure and how they were jostling me on the table trying to get him out. Absolutely insane.
Then when they brought the baby out, the doctor called my husband over and said that there was an “abnormality” that they wanted to check out. Thankfully I knew nothing that was going on, I was so out of it. It ended up being an abdominal separation but it has since resolved itself🙏
That being said, Kayli, I hope your recovery continues to go smoothly and I’m so thankful you’re both okay🩵

You both are incredibly strong! I remember when my son was in the Nicu I was a mess to see how much strength you had and peace, so so much about who you are. I am so happy that you experience that there’s nothing worse than being stressed out especially after giving birth. Thank you so much for sharing your sweet baby Finn’s birth. Kayli, you are so strong, both from recovering so well after a c-section to navigating the tough emotions of not being able to hold your baby during the unknown. I'm so glad he is doing good. I've been watching birthing vlogs because I'm due with my first in June. Loved being able to show my husband that Casey appeared in one of the videos I watched instead of the hunting ones we always watch.

My niece had her baby at 28 weeks and she weighed 2 lbs, she is doing very well now and weighs 4 lbs. God is good and will take care of your lil guy take care. ❤

I'm a nicu parent, and first of all congratulations to you and your family ❤! It's soo tough to not hold your baby or have your baby right next to you. We were in the micu for 3 weeks and my first born. I didn't know anything or what to expect.. it was a terrifying experience but we had such lovely nurses and doctors. I'm so grateful for them and for making the experience less scary. 🙏 I wish you well and I'm glad your beautiful baby boy is doing well ❤

this happened my first C-section. My son swallowed a ton of fluid and we were lucky he didn’t have to be transferred out and then he got jaundice and I see through Instagram that your little guy has it too. Prayers he hopefully he will be better. It’s really good that you guys are older and more levelheaded and understand this part because a new mom having this happen is so rough on her not saying that it’s hasn’t been rough on you, but God knows what he’s doing. Blessings.

You never have to worry or apologize for being caught up in the moments as they are happening and not thinking to pick up the camera. We are appreciative and grateful for any peaks you are willing to share. Focus on each other, the kids and of course your new lovely little baby boy. I agree - he DOES look a lot like Winston!
It was lovely that your dad and brother-in-law came up to give the babe and your family a blessing. It is so important to lean on your faith in times like these. There is a lot of support in doing so. I'm a firm believer in that.

Same thing happened to our son. It did take a week before we could bring him home. I know baby Finn will be just fine. Praying for you all.
I'm not Mormon (I'm Catholic), but the photo you inserted of the guys giving Finn a priesthood blessing (I think?) absolutely made me well up with tears! Praying for health and recovery off both of you xx
The NICU can be so traumatic. I hope you're all enjoying your beautiful boy being home. It can take some time to process when that stuff happens too so be kind to yourselves ❤️

NICU mummy here too!I understand your pain of not being able to hold him for so long. I waited 4 days to hold my son and it was the most gut wrenching 4 days of my life!! So glad you've finally been able to hold him and I hope you're all home safe and cosy soon 💜 remember to cry and let it all out. Lots of love x

Kayli is superwomen. Casey you're amazing support for your entire family. All 3 of you are doing amazing. There is NO need to apologize about not filming some of this journey. You should try to focus on you guys and little Finn. I pray he gets to go home with you guys very soon, he is well loved with wonderful parents and siblings. Little Finn is a tough lil guy and Kayli and Casey, you both are so strong as I am sure it is not easy seeing your baby go through all this and not being able to hold him. (5 years ago, my son had the cord around his neck twice and the epidural made his heartrate drop rapidly so I had to have a "preemtive" c section and that was quite scary as he was my first and only so far.) But I can't even begin to understand the full stress and anguish you must be feeling with all of what is happening with this little guy.
Sorry this is so long, but I will continue to pray for little Finn and the Butler fam ❣
