I bought a 4 door version in 1972 and worked in a factory making about $3.00 an hour at the time. The payments were about 130.00 a month. I have a 2 door version now that I bought in 1994. It's gold with black interior. The fuel pump went bad several years ago and has been parked ever since. It needs quite a bit of love at this point.
A monstrously huge coupe, even for back then! I've seen other '69 coupes with different interiors, some really plain, and some higher grade with vertical stitching. Did they make three trim grades for the coupe in '69? The only place I see the LeBaron name is on the dashboard. Check out the ignition key under the dash on the left side, wild!
I love that steering wheel and the ignition switch on the left side...Perfect for lefties, like me! This vintage was so clean and well-engineered! I always thought that it was strange that the gold-colored Mopar emblem was only on one fender.
whenever i see one of these grand old MoPar land yachts i think the movie of the movie :JAWS" when Quint and Hooper are guessing how big the shark is 25 ft and 3 tons
I always thought the Fuselage Imperials were awesome lookers, allthough I do not care too much for their low quality looking interiors. Compared to a Lincoln of same vintage they look like a Valiant/Dart inside...
MASTERPIECE of a vehicle .the utter trash pieces of feces pickup trucks/suv's of today are a banal pathetic joke compared to a rolling work of art like this
NOT A CHRYSLER. NOT EVEN VINed as a Chrysler. IMPERIAL was it’s OWN MAKE/BRAND…and has been since 1955. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Imperial_(automobile)?wprov=sfti1
I would knock out a wall in my garage if I could get this beautiful beast.
This Imperial is spectacular!!! Such a huge 2 door coupe!!! 👍👍🙂
Wow! The man who drove this new out of the dealer lot in 1969 no doubt was successful and well accomplished.

I had the 4 door version in metalic green. That thing was a tank. 440 cubic inch monster under the hood.
With the one year only sequential turn signals! Love it. My college roommate had one (in 1976). Sweet.
When cars where cars
When cars were land yachts 😅😅😅
But it is absolutely stellar 😍
Very nice. I've never had a Chrysler proper, I figured Pontiac had a lock on that shade of blue for their blocks.
Outstanding car /////////////////

Amazing Automobile. Just 25% to large. The world has changed.
The Dodge Polara in formal attire, a great car, I learned to drive in a car like it.
Exhaust is too loud for being an Imperial.
Yes, they were known for being quiet.
Huh... it has a 440
@@NeuKrofta It’s an Imperial, it’s supposed to be very quiet.
Love it

It’s beautiful. But the price they are asking for it is way out of line.
Wow
👍🏻

Yes they were special order cars.
