      QYLD--curious as did you notice it hasn't moved up with the market, but enjoyed falling with it--lol? Additionally...interesting you did not include RYLD? MDIV has a Morningstar rating of 1--ouch! Whereas RLY has Morningstar rating 5--excellent! But does not pay consistent dividend. Agree SCHD looks good for longer term investors growing a portfolio...but if you are coming up on retirement...the income from QYLD and RYLD seems best choice! Curious to get your analysis on someone having $1M getting ready for retirement and just wants consistent income to live off of? IF you buy 2-3 good dividend stocks...owning RLY gets you less shares? more shares of QYLD and RYLD at current levels. Historically...as each stock rose & fell, dividends did not waiver much from QYLD and RYLD (i.e. 20 to 25 cents), though RLY varied dramatically. Given this, isn't it better to have "more" shares and consistent dividends (monthly) vice less frequent vice the wild side RLY? Enjoyed the video!

      With ETF's, you decide when, how much, and if you want to add, or take out, as much, or as little as you want ( buy more shares, or sell some shares).
      You might be confusing adding to ETF's, in a brokerage account, with paycheck deductions that you set up with your employer, to go into an account of some kind, on a regular basis.

    • @josephhogue

    Great video Joseph. I love ETFs! A great way to diversify your portfolio. However, it is important to look into their Fund Prospectus to see what they are investing in. Fees are another important thing to pay attention to. Similar funds could have different fees, and without any research you can buy into a more expensive ETF without any added benefit.

      @josephhogue  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It's good for a broad market return but since it's an index fund, won't give you exposure to any theme specifically. It IS the market.

    • @thomasd5488
      @thomasd5488 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      WHY, when VTI has such a low dividend yield?
      DIVO, 4.60% dividend, shares are in a long term up trend.
      PEY, 3.99% dividend, shares are in a long term up trend.
      SPHD, 3.80% dividend, shares are in a long term up trend.
      These three ETF's pay dividends monthly, AND for those inclined, they have options, so you can boost your returns by selling out of the money covered calls.
