Sort of feel that Ed should have gotten the hat, but Chris is a good choice if Maggie didn't want to keep it. RuthAnne's "I wish him well" seemed so real
Morrow was closest to actors Adam Arkin, and John Corbett.
Arkin was not there so Corbett probably got it as he took a lot of props from the production to his house.
Why did they delete this scene? It’s perfect!
One of the best shows ever made.
I have the whole show on DVD, so I don't have to worry about whether or not it's available to stream. Always get your shows and movies on physical media.

I went to Roslyn in Washington after the show finished around 1996 it was very cool to see the sets and nostalgic signs where still up..
Final episodes. Mixed signals Joel leaving Cicely by bus, through a fog onto a boat to NYC, or leaving by airplane (deleted).
Recent comments within the last year by Morrow on Facebook indeed indicate he felt trapped by his contract much like Joel was.
Morrow also stated he and Joshua Brand argued a lot about Joels transformation as a character.
Brand stated that people do not change, Morrow vehemently thought Fleishman should evolve (for a reason).
Brand leaving by the end of 66 episodes as Executive Producer gave some leeway for Morrow but really season 5 and 6 did not have as much magic.

It was always in the plan for Joel to experience a transformation like that seen in season six. (As in their primary inspiration, Forsythe’s “Local Hero”)Brand knew the character had to be firmly established first.
@@LanceAnderson77 No it was not. Brand stated (to Morrow) people do not change. As for your season six assessment. Brand had already departed as shows frontrunner. It was David Chase at this time. Chase even stated he hated the show and wanted to kill it off. Brand has never spoken to Chase to this day for ruining a good thing.

A lot of original music was swapped out due to ongoing royalties that Universal did not want to pay anymore. Shame as it re edits the original episodes in a way. Only way to see the episodes with original music is through the UK DVD (Region 2) seasons. Then you need a UK DVD player to watch those episodes.
