    For those of you that own one, what is your biggest pet peeve keeping leachies? Mine is their poop! Stop painting the enclosure walls with it 😂🙏🏼!

      My only pet peeve after having a leachie hatchling for 2 months would be his uninterest in insects. He loves his 3 different pangea flavors I rotate, but has never eaten any insect I've offered. Any tips? And if you have time for another question, about what size will he start changing coloration? Both parents are green with white blotches.

      I own a 2yr old Nuu Ana/Duu Ana female, and my biggest pet peeve is when she poops on me. Luckily though, she has only pooped on the glass once.

    Dayyan why is your voice so soothing? I'm having a really hard time with my depression and anxiety today because today is the 10 yr anniversary of my sisters death. I feel very raw and broken today. So I'm immersing myself in TH-cam today on my day off (cuz I take this day off every year since that day). Watching videos, especially yours, is really helping me to stay distracted and more upbeat. Your voice is soothing and happy and it's really helping me today, so thank you and please keep them coming.

      Thank you for the sweet words! I'm touched I was able to bring you comfort during a difficult time. My condolences to you and your family on the passing of your sister. You are strong and I am confident she is watching over you and loves you dearly. Hugs

    I've got a 6 month old Isle of Pines Leachie that I believe is going me some trouble to eat. I've been feeding every other day now but have to wet her lips with the food for her to consider it. After that I'll sit her back in the enclosure and leave the food in the cap there for her but she won't touch it. Any ideas ? Also, she seems to stay put in the one spot I leave her in which is an elevated piece of bark. Any insight will help greatly !

    We are starting out with easier reptiles first. But some day

    •  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Very smart. I'm bought my leachie for 700 bucks and came with 200 worth or accessories lucky me. started with a crested for a few months and I admit i rushed onto my leachie but that's because it was the deal of a lifetime. Luckily my little boy has never bit me but he likes to fake it. Go to your local reptile expo and you could have your daughter hold some if you asked some both really nicely. It's a great experience holding a leachie, nothing beats it.

    Sooo cute! I badly want a leachie! For now I have a chewie.
    I'm just curious - why do u separate them after hatching into these separate enclosures? Is there a benefit to either keeping them together or separate?

    Hey man, no intention of getting too personal. I really was curious and have been asking some of the big breeders lately.. but what is you daily grind? Your profession?? Meaning how do you support such a hobby/breeding project? It’s interesting seeing a lot of the big guys have day jobs as well and don’t just breed for income

  •  5 ปีที่แล้ว

    I've had a leachie for almost a year and he hasn't grown really at all. I feed him every 3 days and he refuses insects. Is this normal? He's about 1.5 to 2 years.

    • @kNINER-tj6mq
      @kNINER-tj6mq 5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Try feeding every other day and mixing the food. You can also blend some powder, water, and Dubia roaches into a baby food consistency paste. My Little crestie stayed the size of a hatchling for over a year and a half. Apparently it was in a terrarium that was too big so everything it was eating, the calories were being burned off from having such a large enclosure I was recommended to move it to a 6qt plastic shoe box andbump up the heat and i did so, now it's grown double the size it was. I think it's getting fat and I'm planning on moving it back to its enclosure. I think it'd rather be active, and eating well then cooped up.

    •  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@kNINER-tj6mq how do you grind up the Dubai's, I would imagine with a spoon and smashing or what???

  • @anwarkader4416

    So I’ve paired up my Nuu Ana leachies for about a week now. They aren’t fight each other, but at the same time they don’t really get too close to one another. Do you think I should keep them housed together or separate them and try again later?

    • @Reptiliatus
      @Reptiliatus  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I think you are fine keeping them together but watch them closely at night. It's normal for them to be a bit rough here and there but any open wounds are a red flag obviously. There is sometimes a bit of nipping and whistling and clucking and that is normal behaviour between pairs at night. Hope that helps!

  • @mustangguy358
    @mustangguy358 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    They look like the two young leachies I just got from a breeder in San Diego. They're GTA x Nuu Ana. They were hatched 9/22/21. Any tips on taming them? They're flighty and one even nipped at me and barked. lol
