@Joe Krug Less code for sure for what I saw on my first tests. Look forward to being able to check your webflow project in order to inspect some elements. For example, checkbox are a bit painful to customize to have the same result as your examples. Thanks again for all that resources.
@@1Waym Excellent. Thank you Sebastien. We will be moving forward with the checkbox method. This is a strategy decision. When will the examples (cms filter) on attributes be available to copy and paste? Really like the filter form on attributes site. Please make it available to clone as well. Currently it says coming soon
Hey Alan, we are working on it! We had some trouble giving you an accurate and helpful copy-paste instance with Webflow CMS Collection List. CMS Collection Lists need to have a Collection assigned to them to show any content inside. However, we can't copy-paste Collection Lists with Collections assigned and content applied. We're working on coming up with valuable copy-paste flow for you. Expect it within a few months. For now, check out our CMS Filter cloneable
Hey Joe (and team), absolutely great news! And so nice that you guys give back to the community. Three questions: 1. When is attributes going to be monitezed? As in, pay to play? You told us in your presentations that you going to invest in attributes for the coming 5 years, so there must be a plan to earn to make it ever bigger? 2. If investing in attributes for the coming years, do you guys also have a 'packt' with Webflow to take some of the load of Webflow and deliver products that Webflow currently cant? 3. When is the awesome Finsweet 3.0 website coming live? Extra question: (is the big goal that; attributes is going to be bought by Webflow?) Direct questions, but that makes me Dutch :)! Thanks for your transparancy
Hey Mo, direct is the best way. Happy to answer these 1. There are no plans to monetize Attributes. What you see in this launch will be free for the foreseeable future. The only way I can see us monetizing Attributes is if we introduced a solution that required server-side processes. 2. We work independently with Webflow. We have a great relationship with them as a company. There are no plans to collaborate at this level. 3. This is a "when it's done, it's done" project. I do expect within the first few months of 2022. Extra: No, this is not the intention and very unlikely. We plan to work with Webflow once their marketplace initiatives are in place. Thanks for the questions! Enjoy using Attributes!
@@caseylee5826 We just pushed an update through that allows you to use the Webflow native "Start checked" setting for checkboxes and radios. It should be live now, but may take 1-3 days after the cache is refreshed. Thank you!
Hey Joe, is there already a solution on 'Artibutes' to add-on classes to elements inside your Collection List / When could we be expecting this Solution ? Thanks !
Hey Frankie. We don't have this live right now, but we do want to build it. We know how do make a great system for this. Please use our Vote page to voice your feature requests.
Hi Fnsweet Team, I am using the Finwseet Attributes library on one of my websites. I am trying to use CMS Nested component. The nested component is not working. And I guess I know where the problem is :sunglasses:: In the previous version of the CMS library, we have "text-of-categories-list" (Comma-separated text list of categories). But In the Documentation of Attributes version of the library, I can't find the related attribute. Can you please look into this? Regards, Dilshad
Hi Dilshad, thanks for the message. This is not the issue. This step has been removed from the new Attributes solution. We are releasing a full walkthrough of Nest setup this week. With this walkthrough, it will be more clear for you.
@@joekrug8980 Thanks for quick reply. I try to follow the documention very closely and everything is according to documention but it did not work. It does not show any items in host collection list but when I removed link from host collection that is to current item page, then it show all the tags from source collection without filtering.
This is huge! One question Joe, will this break any current implementations of CMS Library before I get the chance to update to use Attributes? Thanks Champ!!
Hello Joe, as always I cannot thank you guys enough for empowering the community with these stunning resources. Just had a quick question: is there a way why you choosed to have each funcionality runned by a dedicated script? Why not just make a single library to paste into project settings so that we can use Attributes everywhere in the build easily? Because of performace reasons? Again, thank you guys a ton!!!
Hey Paul, thank you so much for these great words. The primary reason for the decision was performance. Imagine if you wanted to have CMS Select added to your project. That's it. Having each script separate will give you a 1.7kb file. Having one massive script may give you a 100kb file even though you only need a little piece of it. Additionally, it's more powerful to scale this way. If one functionality breaks, it doe not influence the other functionalities. As we build more and more solutions for you we need to stay as modular and organized as possible.
