In this day and age of every car on the street being either white, black, or silver/gray, this color really stands out, in a good way. Caddy's in the 70's had STYLE!! Get yourself a hat with a feather in it, slide behind the wheel of this Caddy, and live the good life!!

I remember my neighbor with his brand new Yellow 2dr 1976. I remember when he popped the trunk with the electric opener and then it closed with the electric assist. 9 year old me thought it was the coolest thing ever. He unfortunately died a year later of a heart attack at 50 years old

Nice! I had one back in 77 in my high school years! My 76 was white with a navy blue 1/2 leather top. I had the mini chrome front cap over the grille with the goddess on the hood instead of the Cadillac crest. Also, tru spoke wheels with center spinner caps. 1 inch wide white wall like the one on this video. The real eye catcher was that I had my side skirts in CHROME. The car was straight as a pin! Oh what memories! I LOVED MY COUPE DE VILLE!! I truly miss it!

I own the same car. 38,000 miles. Interior is dark green....rides like nothing else in the world. Super powerful engine. The torque is insane.
I wouldn't trade it for anything in the world. Originally came out of Philly, spent some time in Miami...now housed in Jersey. Never driven in the rain nor snow.
Hard to believe the USA made cars like this at one time. To see them in person is even more unbelievable.
It turns heads everywhere I go.

      You’re right, truly outstanding!
The ‘71-‘76 were called the 4th Generation and all shared the same basic platform and sheet metal.
‘71&’72’s had smaller bumpers, but virtually all other components were the same. The 472 spit out 375 hp & 525 lb ft of torque making it quite capable for such a behemoth!
‘75 introduced the wildly de tuned 210hp 500ci replacement for the 472.
I absolutely love my old Cadillac’s!!

I owned a 1976 Cadillac Coupe Deville ----Ivory with a black quarter cushioned top and interior which I purchased in 1977. It had a special custom grill installed and topped with the flying lady goddess hood ornament which can only be installed on this model, being the hood was heavy and it had a center molding ..The ornament was made of solid bronze .I sold that car back in 1986---Oh How I miss that car, but I realized at the time that parts would have been too expensive and rare as time went on...!

I was never a big fan of 2 door coups. However, this stunning Cadillac deVille, with the very rich two color interior and the head turning exterior paint color on top of those beautiful wire wheels, is an undeniable example of why Cadillac had the confidence to proclaim itself, "The standard of the World" for luxury, comfort and visual appeal. My parents drove a brand new 1975 Fleetwood off of the showroom floor when I was 15 and I learned to drive in the gigantic thing, and make no mistake, don't underestimate the amount of power and handling capabilities these huge cars had when they were new. Cadillac had been the world leader in perfecting the engineering and manufacturing of World Class luxury cars which had the horsepower, torque, transmission, braking and handling capabilities of much smaller cars of that era. In other words, a 16 year old who had been handed the keys to take it out by himself, could impress his friends in a Cadillac just as easily as in another car. To this day, when I think about the things that I made that 1975 Fleetwood do under my command, I swear that the car was driving itself and was having the time of it's life because I was telling it to let loose and run it to it's limits, but yet it also never forgot that my parents trusted it with my life and somehow it knew when and how to keep me from wrapping myself and it around a tree. Somehow Cadillac engineered this "teenage driver" feature into the damn things. One time, some friends in a new Chevy Camaro in front of me in the 75 Fleetwood, went around a tight curve on a country road at 60mph and they slid off the road and into a creek. (No one was injured) I went into the curve at the same speed and slammed my brakes at the same spot the Camaro had and I remember thinking that the Cadillac was going to do exactly the same slide into the creek as the Camaro but apparently the "teenage driver" feature took over and the Cadillac didn't even blink an eye and skidded to a controlled stop, all four disks locked and rubber burning, but it never left the lane it was in. That is just one example of the many times that Cadillac somehow knew how to let me push it to it's design limits and keep me alive and return to it's mundane low risk life as a rolling living room when my father got into it the next morning to go to work and he never knew that his recliner car had a secret life as a fearless rocket ride saying, watch what I can do when the kid lets me out of the garage and says, show me why you can claim "standard of the world." Prove it. The engineers at Cadillac have always kept the "teenage driver" feature on the list of standard equipment because they are very aware that if you learn to drive in a new Cadillac, you will come back someday and buy one yourself. Cadillac belongs exclusively to those of who learned to drive in one. We know who we are. And we have the true and complete understanding of everything a Cadillac is and everything a Cadillac can be when you let it loose.

Anyways I have a 75 that I put a brand new 6.0 Escalade drivetrain. Had a good trans shop beef up the brand new trans and supercharged the engine. Put 4 wheel disc brakes on from ccp(heavy duty version). I didn't want big wheels but I did go with 20 inch wheels and a decent tire with some meat on it and ordered the springs 1.5 inches shorter than original. The car is a gem. It's my summer barhopper.
