India has more wedding dresses than imagination
All state have different types in different categories 🙂
Not only states, Regions too
And religions too
Exactly
You're right.....
Yea- 👁️👄👁️
I agree!!
India is so diverse there can literally a video be made only on ‘Wedding dresses across India’ .
Soo true
Yessss
Truly true. ...
True..💯
Diya Rana yesss
Almost every state in India has a different wedding dress.
Edit: Omg didn't realize my comment got so many likes. Revisit after a year now. 🥰🥰 Everyone stay safe.
Facts!! Instead of showing that lame blue salwar, they should've shown South Indian bridal saree
Why south indian only, we have all states
Not just different states different religions have different clothes as well
Punjabi lehangas are gorgeous too.
In Bengal women wear sarees as wedding dresses .
The title should be, Wedding dresses across Asia within our budget edition.
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
👍👍👍
Lol! 😆
YIKES YES
LEGIT!!! 🤣
The thing about channels like these is that they don't understand any country, let alone India. They do the amount of research that a kindergartener does (none). Asia is a diverse continent, full of diverse countries. They could've made made videos focusing on one country at a time so that the full essence is captured.
Yes
Its true
They didn't even include us and you're talking about India😂
Ya true, we have diverse cultures
S O
T R U E
Would they even think of buying such a costly lehenga for this video?? 😁
I never saw anyone from India wearing THAT on weddings!!! Mostly it's sarees or lehangas! No, LITTLE KIDS wear those clothes during festivals! 😐😑
exactly like 7- 11 years girls playing around in those
Thats what, also,in many weddings they wear navvar
Lol
Exactly
This video is 5 years and at that time people used to wear this in weddings
The Indian dress is actually what girls wear to other peoples' weddings. The original is quite different
Aw, that's true. How do you know? Have you been to india? 😊
Thats what I *as a guest would wear at an indian wedding!!!!?!??!?!?
ARMYYYY 💜
True
I got army 💜
They made a 3 and half minute video of wedding dresses across Asia and didn't include a SAREE!!! Omg!
🙂 yeah
Yeah, I was very offended by that because probably most if not the entire population of my country wears Sarees to weddings
@@bubble_tea8445 yeah they showed that blue dress and wedding gown ....in india kids wear it in the birthday parties
🤣🤣
DUDE, EXACTLY! Saree is a must for Indian continental weddings
Others: Complaining about Indians wedding

Me: Does Asia have only 5 countries?
**Candy Sweet** Wdym 5?! There is way more than that
It’s Aaliya! -Tiktok Compilations! r/wooooosh
Hsu Pyae Pyae Lwin hahaha true
Mint Chocolate Chip Cookie although white wedding dresses are becoming more popular in some Asian countries many people still wear traditional wedding clothes to their wedding. (The reason why I say clothes and not dresses is because there are different types of traditional clothes that are different from dresses) Plus the color white is still more used for funerals rather than weddings.
Yeah, and even Vietnamese's aodai look bad. Nobody wear that color and shape now. They wear something much better
If this is an Indian wedding dress then Robert Pattinson is a real vampire.
Edit :- thanks for the likes 😄😄
Lmao 😂😂😂
Yeah, I mean, that dress was HIDEOUS. I came here with hope that i'll see an elaborate blouse and a lehenga but was disappointed
Lol
ya and also it a saree
Yasss
Who came here to see if you can see Safiya's leggings in the Afghani dress?
omg I am caught!
Guilty
Yes lol
yup ahah xD
***** watch 'Behind Eugene' video and you'll understand
Y'all we need an updated version for India, the wedding dress and the blue dress is making me feel like throwing up 😭💀
I couldn't agree more ... i saw it and was like tf who even wears that , no bride would wear that red lehenga and dont even get me started on the blue dress it was smthing a 12 yr old might wear or just the tyical dress that is on the flipkart or amazon catalogue that comes up after searching lehenga for kids
Which bride wears blue dress lmao💀
India ???really!!!! where are sarees??? And that blue dress is not a wedding dress
Archana S ikr people think treat Southeast Asia like it’s no apart of Asia
The red dress is tho
Indians have minimum 500 different wedding dresses by their traditions. Blue dress is just a bollywood version. Blue is not a typical wedding colour.
Yeah, usually Indians have red dresses for luck
@@Lisa-kd3uh Not across the country no. It's just that red dress IS famous, but all across the country there are different traditions which believe otherwise.
The traditional Indian wedding dress is completely wrong, it's usually a saree/lehenga/ghagra in most states, but pretty much every state/culture has their own type of wedding dress in India. Also, cuz the Indian dress is wrong, I'm not sure how many of the other countries' dresses are accurate
The tagline is wedding dress not traditional dress
Chahat Chowdhary It is still wrong. Different cultures in India have different wedding dresses. They're talking about culturally traditional.
@@chahatchowdhary6616 even of wedding dress every state has a different one. In most of the Northern states n eastern states it is their traditional dress in Red but in most of the Northern states it is their own traditional dress but White I'm not sure about south though.
2:21 this one is used mostly in both punjab of Pakistan and India
0:22 this one is used in most of Middle East
Little bit dissapointed by the dress they choose to represent Indian wedding. The dresses we wear at an Indian wedding are much more beautiful 😊
yeah there are more amazing ones
Yes
Exactly there are so many beautiful ones too which are fantastic
Indians be like : South Indian Sarees, Bengali Sarees, Punjabi Lehengas, Ghagras....
This channel : Okay let's show a birthday dress 😂

Lmao True that 🤣
those dress were very simple it was party or traditional function dress
So many people are complaining about why Japan isn't including, while I'm sitting here being proud that for once other Asian countries other than the Eastern are being show cased. Thanks Eugene, although we all know it was because of your tight budget.
+Stephanie M. mte!
+Gina Chung It was a genuine thank to eugene I think...
+Gina Chung pretty aware Korea is apart of the East, but I was being pretty general about my statement. I should've said, "only including East" to make it clearer. The East may be small in numbers but you cannot deny they are generally the only countries to be mentioned when it comes to speaking about Asia in a general matter.
+Stephanie M. I totally agree with you! You go, sister!
You are wise, child.
Random thought but I'm proud to be an Asian. We are so rich when it comes to culture.
cool I am American do you hate me because of that???
+Everdeen10 how can we be proud of something we are just born into lol
+Ray ban? What? Why can't you be proud of something whether you're born into it or not?

- lol.
Lol they probably meant "Asian countries that white people would know"
only 4 countries ~
Guess we're not Asians then lmao
They mostly considered Japan China and Korea 🥴☠
Random TH-cam Comment my thoughts exactly
Yeah where's Uzbekistan
I’m not Indian but I’ve been to their weddings...these are not their wedding dress...Their wedding dresses are much more elegant n beautiful.
Indians have minimum 500 different wedding dresses by their traditions. They wear sarees, lehengas, skirts, salwar kameez in different states. So much variations in their clothing.
Blue dress is just a bollywood version. Blue is not a typical wedding colour.
We have a loooot of different varieties....so many cultures, and hence a lot of different kinds of wedding dresses....Westerners think that the only culture we have is that of a part of North India...
I am from Kerala in India, our wedding dress looks closer to Thailand's attire than the Indian as represented by them
H
Sirimiri true but they are still red
And can be in diffrent styles
Somebody send them what we actually wear at Indian weddings. How our lehenga costs more than their actual wedding. That blue thingy was a painful sight 😐
If this doesn't go viral, does eugene get fired?
I don't think so, Eugene is a great producer
+martin37201 hope not

Yeah, it looks pretty cheap.
The blue color dress looks like something a 12 year old would wear at her birthday.

I’m a 12 year old and I wouldn’t like to wear that in my birthday never
Hah
That blue indian wedding dress has the same energy as the patil sister's dresses in the Yule Ball
Underrated comment😂🤣
Sacchi Mai
Yep otherwise Indian dresses would have overshadowed all others in the movie!
Ayy potterhead 😂💜
😭😭 I swear. Their clothes made me wanna cryy
Indian brides don't wear that blue dress on their marriage, and south Indian brides wear silk sarees. In video, indian girl's dress looks very cheap, normally it looks so grand and heavy..
Rock JN they did this on quite a strict budget, so they probably couldn’t afford the best of the best.
FR. I've seen India wedding dresses, and they cost more than my whole life. 😂 😂
Same for the other dresses. These are tourist trap costumes. Models are also weirdly uniformly sexualized for modeling wedding dresses for a continent with many different ways for brides and weddings to be.
In India itself, there are so many different cultures and tribes and none of them look like one another. Everyone has different bridal wear and traditions. If they actually wanted to show everything, they'd have to use the entire video and more just to cover India. (But I don't think anyone wears BLUE!)
@@burntchurrio3655 True. In Bengal the bridal costume meant to be worn on the day of the wedding ceremony itself is almost always a vibrant red or a color close to that shade of red.
Vietnam's red dress is breathtaking
+Lanla Colan no haha
+Mina Kan Yeah, I really loved it. If it didn't have the yellowy taffeta fabric at the bottom and just went into a straight a-line dress I would buy it.
+Lanla Colan well I'm half yemeni half black. yeah she's wearing a hijab but that isn't my culture... I think that's more Indonesian/ Malaysian if I'm not mistaken. (:
I'm Vietnamese and we wear them to all celebration.. I have like 10 of them xD
It makes me so happy that people are really liking the Vietnamese cultural dresses!
After watching "Behind Eugene • Making A Viral BuzzFeed Video" It made me appreciate this video way more
Definitely! Also paid more attention to details..
And look for Safyas leggings😂
+Mara Malere *safiya's
+Sarah Alyammahi Yeah, I wasn't going to watch this video. Mostly because I am a guy and don't really have interest in wedding dresses. But I watched the BTS and saw all the effort.
I was definitely looking for Safiya's leggings hahaha
The blue dress is something that is worn by children on wedding functions 🤭😂
That's what I though when I first saw it
Not even children actually nowadays 😂
I'm Indian...that blue dress looks like what a guest would wear
Yeah they’re more intricate and detailed
Exactly..
Is wedding dress and bride dress the same thing?
I mean this is probably the "dress" that you wear to "attend" wedding...
Exactly brother..
2:38 I assure you no girl would wear this to her own wedding.
This is what the guest who barely anyone knows would wear.

The Indian gown is a westernized concept. The traditional wedding attire ranges across India but was mostly some form of a saree. Gowns are a very recent adaptation when we Indianized the Wedding gowns of America/ Britain
That was a Lahenga
Sanchari Saha hey I meant the ghastly blue 'Indian Gown' right after the Tacky lehenga

I cannot believe some ppl feel left out just bc their cuntries were not mentioned. Seriously, if u watch the video which shows how eugene made this video, u will realize that his choosing of designers from different countries was quite limited. By the way, EVERY country just cannot come out in every video on Asia. I do not think it was wrong to feature Korean, but not China or Japan :)
Also, i believe it is quite nice to see wedding dresses of countries that are not very well-known.
Where can i find the video of eugene?

The title should be Wedding Dress in Some Asian Countries.
It's like 5/49 countries and you call it across.
Across doesn't mean the entire continent of Asia. It's like someone saying they want to visit Asia, they obviously can't visit all of it (they could, but be way to expensive and time consuming). Plus, watch the behind the scenes video linked at the end. It shows them all being on a limited budget and time frame, so they could only have a small number of countries represented. And I think for geography, they did a good job. Covering the west (Afghanistan), south (Vietnam, Thailand, India) and east (Korea).
Chan Raksa agree
You're right but I think that's because almost all the wedding dresses in asia are pretty the same (Which is white gown)
@@gelline361 The video was trying to show traditional wedding dresses, which are mostly red, not white. The white European gown dominates (as the start of the video states) mostly because of how cheap it is.

As all said the Blue one belongs to kids collection 😂 Real Indian wedding dresses look gorgeous and we have various traditions so wedding outfits varies from state to state....But all of them are like they make the bride as Goddess 😉🥰🤩

That's awesome to read! You should really look through Sabyasatchi's line of lehengas. He has changed the bridal fashion in our country. Even though he does couture pieces, many people opt to get self stitched lehengas by copying the designs. And people wear all color combinations now not just red. Nichaela Fernando I LOVE THAT SHOW. Sabyasatchi is bae. Not to forget Anju Modi's amazing designs in Bajirao Mastani.
👍
I am from Afghanistan
I am glad the wedding dress included 😍😍
The Afghanistan dress is the prettiest out of all here in my opinion.
@@hari-haridrama4304 thanks mate
There are 49 countries in Asia - showcasing all of their dresses would take hours. Stop complaining that your country wasn't picked.
THANKS
finally someone said it
yaaaaa!
then they should change the title of the video. saying 'across asia' makes it seem as if they're going to showcase all the wedding dress styles throughout the entire asian continent.
Why wasn't Pakistan picked :(
those dresses from Vietnam had my jaw dropped.
L to the Lawliet. This is why I love myself. SLAYYY!!!!
your name and profil pic 💜💜💜💜
I’m from Vietnam. It’s very beautiful
I agree
L to the Lawliet really? I didn't think, they were that pretty, but the India ones definitely were
The Indian wedding dresses were incredible I think those were probably my favourite 😩😍😍
hehe ty😚
GM but usually, sarees are worn for weddings
Same! 😍😍😍
those are lengas. mostly worn by north Indian brides
Lehengas are damn pretty....but Indians wear Sarees too...i think u should check out bridal Sarees online
The model in the 1st afghani dress looked stunning, the jewellery was just too good😍❤
VIETNAMESE PRIDE
YES
Yass
YAAAAAASSS
Vietnamese Unite!
YASSS FINALLY SOMETHING VIETNAMESE THATS NOT FOOD IN BUZZFEED VIDEOS!
for everyone complaining about not having x country in the shoot:
1) get over yourselves
2) it says across Asia and not EVERY country in Asia. (i could complain about not having an Arabic inspired dress/es)
3) they had 1 week to shoot the video with preparation and all so they couldn't get dresses from everywhere.
4) they did great with the budget they were given.
Cindy Salameh Well said
Bethany Nuttall thank you ☺
Cindy Salameh Thank u somebody else who understands ❤️
Keep in mind that if this video stays popular enough and gets enough requests for more!!!, they may allow Eugene to do a follow-up video. Asia is a HUUUUUUUUUUUUGE place. I would also love if they might include modern and traditional fashions in Africa as well. (If possible, I know that's a tall order for limited time and budget.)
Rae Carson yes! I would 100% support that idea! Traditional clothing is so beautiful.
I tried to spot the leggings. I couldn't. Good job Eugene
You can see them at 1:38
+Mara Malere boi
+Mara Malere 1:37. Well. Still perfect
+Дарья Абросимова lmao you guys aren't trying hard enough 1:20 1:21 1:31 1:37
Leggings? Idk what you mean... ._. I'm an idiot
The blue gown lmao 💀
Plz- wedding is far, I wouldn't even wear it on normal day!
My sister wore something like that when she was seven. She looked stunning, to be honest. And hi Army💜
@@ryanroshan2732 hi !
I was actually talking about nowadays wedding fashion
Whenever you make a vedio on wedding dresses make sure that indians always wear saree and a 1 to 2 kgs of gold 😉😉
Like, the entire attire, including the hair ornaments, dress, and everything, would weigh 3x more than the bride herself!
Yep Pakistan's too they are like filled with gold
ikr
and they should be super uncomfortable for the dress to qualify as an Indian wedding dress.
India is a diverse nation
Not all Indians wear saree
Blue dress of Indian wedding it's like when Indian girls visit reception of someone..
Well it's not a hate comment
But typically Indian brides wear quite heavy dresses sometime It is designed with the wires of gold and silver 🇮🇳
I went to Vietnam last spring because my uncle was marrying a Vietnamese girl. It was incredible, I even got an áo dài tailored for me. But the *FOOD*
Have you tried street food ? really fuckin' tastyyyy !!! welcome back ;) from

Kathryn Bjers Ah, it's been SO long since I've worn an ao dà And IKR THE FOOD!

SUGA SUGA SUUGA SUUUGA
omfg armys EVERYWHEREEEE
+Bella Sone kookie gives me life
YES WE ARE FAMOUS
Indians won’t wear that kind of dress especially blue during wedding and each state has different styles. And where is saree??
Each state has different styles? I have been to more than a few and everyone wears the same sarees.
Should they include different dresses to represent different states of india? How thoughtful! Why don't you do that yourself?
@@urwaimran1487 if the video's sole purpose is to show the wedding dresses they should show them if they can't show every wedding dress atleast they should have idea which dresses are not considered as wedding dresses
@@kashmirimodi9222 kerala: white silk sarees with a light border.
Tamil Nadu: light coloured silk saree with a heavy border
Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh: red and yellow silk sarees with heavy embroidery.
Telangana: Same as Andhra Pradesh but also wear blue and green sarees.
Maharashtra: whatever the heck they want.
Punjab: the one shown in the video but much heavier embroidery and jewellery to go with it.
I have only been to these states. I'm pretty sure other states have unique styles too.
I understand that they couldn't represent every Indian dress but why did they even care with the blue one? They could have shown one from South India instead.
The India style!!! so beautiful!!
I'm an Indian, thank you! :D
I loved it too! It was my favourite of all of them
Frankly the Indian wedding lehenga looked like it was picked up from a local market. It was not at all designer.
Wedding Lehengas in India can cost you anywhere between $ 250 to $ 3000+
+Priya I agree. Although it gave the basic idea and was probably within their budget. I really wish they included a red saree though!
theturtleyo yup. I have mentioned that in my other comment. Instead of that hedious blue gown they should have used Saree. Gold and red Saree (Banarasee or Kanchipuram) with lots of Gold jwellery. To be specific a South Indian bridal makeup.
