I have to agree with Stoner's comments. I don't want to see "road relevant" bikes with lots of electronics to make them easier to ride, I want to see snarling beasts that very few can tame. I don't want to see races won by engineering advances, I want to see races won by the best & bravest. Get rid of the bullsh!t & bring back the true prototypes & may the best man win.
I totally disagree with you and stoner, otherwise we would be riding racing bikes today identical to manx nortons ajs 7r etc. The best talented riders always extract the best from whatever machine they are riding, look at young Acosta, development has resulted in abs, traction control, change of engine response mode at the click of a button for us road riders. Bikes today also benefitting from programmable fuel injection, with increase reliability, increased performance from similar sizes engines of yesterday, what’s not to like with technical progress. Would you like to be watching black and white to today. Wake up smell the coffee. My 4 cylinder z1b 900 produced 83 bop, today a twin cylinder like the new Honda 750 transalpine produces more with a lot less weight etc. Stop listening to the old school boys who like mm, stoner, are trying to make out they stand out as more talented because their bikes were less complex, they had the most technical advanced bikes under them at the time they were winning. If you follow your thinking and stoners, we are going to end up with Dorna calling the shots for financial gain, ie ticket sales etc rather than technical excellence leading the way. If you want more competitive racing go watch bantam racing, or scooter racing and leave MotoGP to the real men. Thanks
@@MrBeracah As someone else said, might as well watch SBK if you like road bikes with flash electronics... Give 'em bikes with no electronics & no aero & see who can actually ride the beasts is what I say. But you're entitled to your opinion & that's your opinion, regardless of how much or little logic it makes. (Nortons? AJSs? What?! I don't see the relationship to the current conversation...)
I don't want to speculate, but I don't know why it crossed my mind that I think the 2027 regulations are based on the wishes of the JAPAN manufacturers to DORNA lol... who have been unable to compete in the last 3 years with Ducati.... to be honest, lowering the CC from 1000 to 850 is very doesn't make sense... damn..
Motogp should rid the motorcycles of electronic assistance, speed, & tuning down the aero. They should not lower the engine size from a 1000cc to a 850cc this is ridiculous. If anything make the 1000cc to a 1150cc, also you don't have to increase the speed because you have a larger engine. And I think you are so right that Japan can't keep up with "European" advancements that they are now starting to complain & cry. So now motogp is going to change the rules to make it easier for Japan to compete. This makes you look weak 😔🤒.
I would love to see them go back to the days of less electronics and more rider skill. If that happened Marquez would dog walk the whole grid without a doubt! These guys are very good don’t get me wrong but they couldn’t compete with Marquez when it comes to sheer talent and instinct.Hes the best I’ve ever seen
Bikegp=== your a honda fanboy . and honda is the weakest engineering in motogp... Pecco is correct this is all about inferior bikes trying to win in court as they(japanese) cant build a competitive bike .

@@paulmolles4445 your mind is fooling you. The racing of old was very spread out, much closer today. For me the greatest period was superbikes around 96, but there’s more overtaking than people credit still. Small issue with aero but still good. Last weeks race was one of the best ever imo.
@@paulmolles4445 no, whinging is when people are never happy. Bike audience is never happy. Been through it all. The aero changes should make it even closer, and as we saw with the severely overhated 800cc era, they will figure out a way to make it just as fast if not faster. I guarantee you it will be just as good if not even more entertaining

The whole point of the new rules is so the rice burners can catch up

Just how Ducati had to be allowed 1k extra rpm after Japanese manufacturers dominated for 20 years? Lmfao
Bring back the racer riding the bike with throttle control and just how hard he can brake. Think you would see a different race
yes with the field spread out and Doohan winning by half a lap.

Exactly!
i'd rather watch the BMW s1000rr's doing 180mph through traffic on highways.
but theyre not moving away from prototype.

Prototype road bikes eg SBK.

Its all about emissions. Motogp tech eventually trickles down to the road bikes. Smaller engines and woke fuel.
How can the japanese manufactors cope with the shame these regulations bring to them?
This is not F1 and its a mess thanks
