What’s confusing about this whole situation is that it’s possible to both condemn the Hamas attacks _and_ think Israel has been more than heavy-handed in its response to October 7th. It’s possible to support Palestinian freedom from Israeli state oppression without being antisemitic just as it’s possible to support Israel against Islamist aggression without being anti-Muslim. These 2 things are not necessarily mutually exclusive. Too many folk are either/or in this conflict when it’s possible to be both/and.

The meaning of Palestine:
The Roman word Palestina originates from the Greek word Philistine which originated from the Hebrew word Plishtim.
