How do we take an appointment?
Coming over for a personal consultation with our maxillofacial surgeon, Dr. Sunil Richardson is the best option. We are located physically near the southernmost tip of India, a town named Nagercoil near Kanyakumari.
However, we have other options for patients from far and wide, who can’t travel for a direct physical consult.
The pictures can be sent to our What’s App number: +919443182860
Or emailed to drsunilrichardson@hotmail.com and appointment asked or advice sought.
We are also on most of the social media platforms :

This is why we nurses and doctors must be empathetic towards patients, we have to put ourselves in their shoes. For us being a medical person facing this type of situation is easy and we are use to it but patients must be really scared and nervous we should talk more to the patient

I just want to share my experience today because I had my surgery today, I'm in the hospital, everything is ok, my bp, my ecg is also ok when I was taken to the operation theater, I suddenly felt anxiety and panic attack but my panic attack was only for a moment because I was so nervous that I couldn't breathe. After that they asked me to calm down the nurses are kind and those in the anesthesia section really comforted me and advised me they calmed me down thank you to the nurses and doctors and I told my fiance that maybe we should reschedule because it's my first time to have general anesthesia so we're both nervous. After that the nurse gave me medicine to calm me down then suddenly I felt sleepy, after 1hr my doctor came and that was it
they decided to reschedule the surgery. My doctor said that I should be stronger, eat healthy and do exercises like yoga and think positive always, everything will be ok.
I hope everything will be ok next week so that my surgery can go ahead, just think positive and always pray. 🙏 God is good 🥰
What disease u have? Are u going to have another operation?

Brave lady 👏🥰God bless you ❤🙏
I’ve had soo many surgeries and when the team is preparing me; they usually talk to me to get me calm. I feel welcome so I can trust them!!
Life's too precious to descend into a twilight zone.
Don't cry and don't be scared. This is to save your life if you want to live.
I’m 46 and I had a general anaesthetic for the first time yesterday and I must admit, I was slightly nervous. But after the mask was put on my face and I became unconscious, I don’t remember anything until I woke up.
Same
Same!! I felt horrible when they injected me and it made me cry but I just hated the feeling of the anesthesia
In the last couple of decades, I've had 17 surgeries. And just as nervous each and every time.
A little compassion, empathy, comfort and understanding from staff is essential...
Here, they showed none..😢

I was 14 years old when I went under to get my moles removed on my face. I wasn't scared at all. It was crazy how fast I fell asleep. I got the needle anesthesia in my arm, not the one where they just put it in your nose. The plucked my arm, I looked down at it, then, BAM! I was asleep. Crazy.
Bro I am 10 and I have 3 operation
Since when do they use sedation to remove moles. I've had a bunch removed and all they've ever done is a numbing injection for pain
@@nikkisanders8358 They did for me, I had a lot of them.
@@jukio02 Then it wasn't done in a dermatology office, cause they put people to sleep there. Must be different than regular mole removal to need sedation and removing moles was all they told you.
I feel bad for this girl.I know how horrible it feels knowing you'll have no control, lying on the table, close to being dead, not trusting wether or not you'll wake up.The psychological damage could be with you for years.
Nothing to do with death, she is in the hands of Lifesavers. Gifted by God. It is good to reinforce your willingness of trust for special care, we all need that extra care naturally. Careless mistakes is never part of the teamwork.
This is really cool going under, I know, I've been through this a whole bunch of times!
So much Love in her Heart 💜❤️.
Same way as this girl was crying right before she goes under anesthesia, I can relate to her.
About five years ago I had to have major operation myself between my C3 and my C4 disks on my neck for unusual numbness streaming from my shoulders down to my toes(ACDF surgery).
I remember, I was scared to death going under, nobody talk to me prior to going under. I wish a nurse would’ve or at least let me hold someone’s hand and to help calm my nerves down. I was thinking I had died on the operating table.
I’m still scared of hospitals in general and that’s been my only operation since then. Prior to that, I had not had an operation since I was about two years old.
My heart goes out to that girl and hopes she made a full/safe recovery.
what if a nurse whispers in ur ear "bye bye ....." and after a gap "forever" that'd make the patient going under absolutely mental tbh.
Hello sir, i have tiny epidermoid cyst growing over my forehead which is increasing in size gradually, can this be treated without leaving any residual scar over my forhead.?
Hoping for a reply.. Thankyou🙏
Quick recovery to her
Bhagwan kare aap jald se jald thik ho jaye ji 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
When I got burned in 2019, they said they're going to treat my skin a little bit, and this included me going under anesthesia. But I was brave enough to do so!
Doctors are real god on earth ❤️....
This is why patients are given versed before taking them into the surgery room (in the USA). Indian hospitals should consider doing the same.
What was the surgery for?
I know that feeling... I am going through 3 surgeries... My 2 kidney stone operations and delivery c section... But you have to be brave,..god bless you...
Aww it is very scary i understand. I had a laparoscopic cholecystectomy in April 2021. It's pretty scary when someone else's in charge of your body for awhile. But that good thing is you wake up and on the road to recovery. Mine felt like I've been asleep 10 minutes.
Amd how long was you a sleep for ?
About an hour and a half maybe. Maybe an hour only. Not quite sure but somewhere around there. Felt like I was asleep for 10 minutes.😂

😮Omg!!!
My heart rate was 117 at the hospital for antibiotics for dental abscess they drained my abscess but my heart rate was 117 on the sheet they gave me, and when I had covid at home I checked my heart rate and blood pressure and my heart rate was 122 or alittle over that and higher blood pressure
OMG! I have had surgery before and didn't know they pack your throat like that! Just watching this about gives me a panic attack after seeing that part. Poor girl I hope she did well and is ok. 🙏

Have y'all seen the little girl that apparently just came back to her room after surgery it appears she went to heaven. It doesn't say. I thought she was gonna die I wish it were explain. But she's horrifically terrified to go to sleep, close her eyes, let go of dad's hand. It's terrible to me. But she keeps saying the Lord's prayer in years she hyperventilating she so scared can v
Barely breath trying to say pray. When the prayer says "if I die" she can't even say that part.
That's what i was thinking. Anesthesia takes her last breath. This is not sleeping. She look dead. The only use of her breath is the oxygen from the host in her mouth. If no host in her mouth. She is dead.
Why do you apply tape over eyes?
The way the doctor talked to the patient is very nice and familiar.
