"...and will for a meaningful period of time." A perfect example of "linear thinking" about an "exponential" technology. You will see an explosion in content creation and "Hollywood stars" will be diluted in the process.

This was a fun and insightful interview. Both Mr. Ben Affleck and Mr. Gerry Carnivale made great presentations and points. The hosts sycophantic Hollywood obsession with "Matt" was a bit of a distraction and insulting to Gerry. The shout out to Hugh and Ryan was solid and wish them all the best in their future endeavors. I watched this in concurrence with the house of commons in Canada going after Lauren Southern and you guys may want, or she may want to tell stories.. She's a hustler we don't want to lose. So random. Grey goose rocks. Not russian disinformation. 😂

I love that Ben is shy but he will speak on this behalf because he went the artist to come back into movies! I LOVE THE movie air and OMG they don’t make movies like that anymore

No one can predict the future but I think Ben may or may not be right, AI can also have many disadvantages and is not always the most sensible option, I feel like maybe AI laws should be created to correct things like artistic plagiarism .

5:15 I see exactly what Ben is talking about with actors who are unwilling to promote the shows or films they star in or even going so far as to trash-talk their projects or sabotage them through misbehaviour. The way most performers are paid doesn’t incentivise them to do their damnedest to ensure the success of the project, especially if they don’t have a sense of personal pride in it.
I am thinking of specific examples where this misalignment of incentives has reduced a project’s success.

The AI apocalypse is unstoppable, modern conviences will easily win over.
#1 movie in 2024 is inside out 2, a cartoon.
The same thing that's happening to the music industry will happen to the movie industry, bedroom artist producers directors, new age visionaries.

Jerry Cardinale has managed to sink AC MILAN, one of the most glorious football teams in the world. When he arrived we were the strongest in Italy, the champions of the Scudetto...now with his poor management, and the inability of the managers (Ibrahimovic, Furlani, Moncada) we are in eighth place. This man has ruined us. The Rossoneri fans are in revolt against him. We don't want you, Go away!!!!💪🏻🔴⚫

"AI will rejuvenate intellectual property. There will be dislocations along the way, but that's a positive." While I respect Gerry's education, expertise, and phenomenal career, labeling the loss of millions of jobs as a "positive dislocation" paints him as an out of touch and insensitive person

He is not even an MBA or CFA how is he educated

    • @Ovprksdnw

@@shrishri8898 Gerry Cardinale has an undergraduate degree from Harvard (magna cum laude) and a master's degree from Oxford, where he was a Rhodes Scholar. He IS supremely well educated. As for an MBA, it's an empty degree (I majored in Finance in college and worked on Wall Street, so I know firsthand that the only value of MBA is networking)
