- QR 1318 struggles into Spring Bluff on an up empty grain with a sick engine and is held whilst railmotor 2028 pauses on an up passenger train.
After the cross 1318 manfully and smokily lifts its train and proceeds. Spring Bluff is situated about 10 km on the 'up' from Toowoomba. 5 September 1986
1318 became Tasrail's ZC19 and then 2144 and is the last survivor of it's class unless you count the MKA rebuilds.
Now proudly owned by 'Launceston & North East Railway' , of which I am a member :)
Music to my ears! 1300's close relatives of Class 37's in Britain where many are still hard at work.
Sounds like she's cactus
the railmotor service originated in Roma.
This was not long before the 1300s were retired from QR services and shipped to Tassie.
Looks like its due for points and plugs :-)
Chugging . Dig that sound. Class 37 stuff ? Thanks mate
