    On the thumb stud issue, I just received my 31 small the other day. Thumb sore already. I've learned to use my thumbnail primarily. Don't know how long that'll last. But it's more comfortable that way.

    Nice review. I too got a sebenza for my 30th birthday. Mine was a small 21 insingo about 6 years ago

    Good review Thanks, I have a new small Sebenza 31 on the way that has the new S45VN blade on it. I agree with you about S35VN steel not only on Chris Reeve knives but other brands as well. I have never been a fan of it. I hope the S45VN is better.

    Man, I get it! I sold off five of my knives just this week. Why, to get my next CRK; Inkosi!

    With regards to sharpening and the knife dulling a little faster than you'd like: Chris Reeve knives have convex edges from the factory. I've had good results bringing back my edges just with a leather strop and green compound. I haven't actually sharpened my Inkosi in probably six months or so. I just give it 40-50 passes on the strop once a week or so and it's good to go.

      Same here. A good 15 dollar strop with a little compound goes a long way. I also use a spyderco tri-angle sharpener to keep an already fairly sharp edge really sharp.

    Nice review. I signed up too! I bent a clip too. On the thump stud try to use thumb nail ,not the skin . It take a lot of openings to smooth up

      i second this, top left of thumbnail to open the knife. arking out and up. it changes from thumbnail to skin on its own and is very smooth

      Flicking is lame.

    Every video I’ve seen people open it like it’s a fragile piece of
    Glass, can you flick it out fast?

    • @hyssean12
      @hyssean12 3 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      Chris reeve knives aren't supposed to be flicked out they aren't designed that way. If you want a knife to flick n flip all day don't buy a crk

    How is it holding up so far?

    This knife needs an overtravel stop,i've already had one knife destroyed by a buddy that don't know how to close a framelock.

    S35/S45 for me and most users who don’t cut 100 million miles of cardboard a day is 10 times more steel than you need and I prefer it to any other steel with higher edge retention because with a strop it stays razor, hair popping sharp where 20CV/M390 requires 25+ minutes to resharpen and is a good deal less tough. This steel snobbery trend in the community is completely overblown. S35VN is one of the most well rounded steels ever made. Have a look at knife steel nerds graphs which shows S35 right smack in the optimal range for both toughness and edge retention and bladehq graphs show S35 has the best by far, balance of corrosion resistance, ease of sharpening, edge retention and toughness.

    Cut! A overprice knife for what you get. I will not get one, after trying one.
