Absolutely AMAZING......I am going to the Hair Supply Store later today, to get some of those "bands" and try this ! I can't French Braid my own hair.....I go to the salon to have it done each week. My DH asked me years ago to let my really short hair grow so that he could see it French Braided.....He died before it grew long enough to French Braid, but now I don't want to cut it ever because I can "close" my eyes and see him smiling each time I have the French Braid done..... I am going to try this so that between the trips to the salon ( I go twice a month....I can keep the French Braid for 8-9 days before I have to take it down ) This will save me some money....and maybe, just maybe I will grow to like this style more and only go to the salon once a month ! THANK YOU!

I'll give this a try as an alternative to a dutch braid! I can't do dutch braids as I have some coordination issues with my hands, but with this one, it doesn't matter too much if I drop the sections.
When you use those elastics you should try coating them in some olive oil before taking them out. The elastic usually snaps in half so you don't have to rip them out. Even if it doesn't work it'll be good for your hair haha.

I’m trying to learn this. My hair though is thin (albeit there is a lot of it) but the actually pony tail when I pull them apart very thin, Ugh 😑 not gonna give up trying to do this though bc I’m tired of just putting up in clips like I don’t even try lol.

Why don’t you just learn to French braid? It’s not any harder than what she’s doing here. You just have to practice a bit and it gets really easy.
