CJ is my home lake. Crappie are my favorite but everything in CJ gets big. Big trout, channel cats, Crappie, perch, bluegills, largemouth and smallmouth, sturgeon, carp, you name it. Plus unlike a lot of other reservoirs in Idaho CJ is always at full pool. Just a phenomenal place to fish, and most of the pleasure boaters and jetskiers would rather save the gas and go to waters closer to Boise. It does get crowded in the spring though.
Afternoon, wanted to reach out to a local as we just arrived at MHAFB and don't have our boat yet. Is there any good fishing from the banks around the dam? Thanks
