    Hello , can we configure standby database from a cloned db. of production already added as a target to OEM ??

    Does the source and target have the same DBID ?

    we daily get RMAN backups to our DEV environment for cloning, and from there we clone using automated scripts. instead, can we use those RMAN backups to clone using OEM? please suggest, if there is such an option in OEM 13c to clone using RMAN Backups.

      Yes you can, give it a try on test server and see if it works for you.

    what if I am cloning to the same machine? how do you change the initialization parameters to different directory paths?

    Do we need any additional licence for cloning the database directly from production database?

    'Hi' question was If I have to clone production to dev .. usually we drop dev db, take backups of home and then start.. are all these steps included in standard OEM method... OR we need to make a custom "PRE" script which takes care of backups, dropping database etc. as shown in options to run before the start of the actual clone..
