And don't even get me started on this Josh guy doing the filming. I saw him elsewhere where you basically get the distinct impression that all he does is fly-in right before the storm looking for the meal-ticket footage and then hauls ass out. He was out of there on one of the first copter flights I believe he said on another program. Doesn't even stick around to help these poor people. By the looks of them on this video it seems some knew he was taking advantage of a desperate situation.

It’s very rare for a reinforced concrete structure to be flattened by wind alone in a hurricane, and of course it’s been happened many times before. Though It’s usually almost never the sustained winds that do it, either meso vortices or a downburst in the eyewall.
In this case however, it was definitely storm surge that took out the reinforced concrete structures at the Bahamas in Dorian. No surprise though since of course, it was 23ft.

JAM Méndez Crazy people that ignore wisdoms warning. This is not 1850 where there is no warning, where the sky rapidly changed catching people off guard.
This is 2019 where history shows the power of these Atlantic Tropical storms have been taking place for thousands of years. This 2019 is and has been a system for 50 years of early warning by National Weather Service radar and aircraft flying back and forth through the eye wall for weeks to give people fair warning.
Still the worse hurricane with the Lowest recorded pressure 888 millibars around the eye wall and howling 200 mph winds with storm surge of thirty feet ripped through the Florida keys. This took place in 1935. So it has zero to do with the fakery of climate change.

THE REAL QUEEN ROYALTY LIVES! Crazy people that ignore wisdoms warning.
Live, Learn and pass on wisdoms.
      Don’t pass on victim hood.

Jordan Martirossian keep in mind josh recorded the western“weak” side of Michaels eye wall. Which had winds of at least 135mph.
The east side of the eye wall which Mexico beach got hit with had 160mph winds, which are only 25mph weaker than Dorian.
But the damage potentially increases exponentially.
You should watch the Mexico beach footage of hurricane Michael, it’s an 1hour 48minute long video, the worst of the Indus are between, the 55minute and 1 and 18minute mark. It’s on par with this one.

I’m sorry but to say the damage from Andrew was a “walk in the park” compared to this storm is kinda biased.
The damage looks the same to me. Remember, Dorian was a slow moving storm, it had time to do all of the damage that it did, not to mention that most of the damage came from surge while Andrews damage came from mostly wind.

As a Bahamian who ride out the storm (safely) it's completely devestating to see the impact that the storm has done. One to many lives lost, homes damages and still many missing persons. Places that never flooded I mean never, had water. About 80% of our island ( Grand Bahama) was under water. The Eastern end of the island ( where my people's from) looked like it never existed. My grandmother's house got swept away like a piece of paper. Videos like this give me an insight as to what happened during the storm and I thank you for it. Nevertheless it's still heart breaking and gut wrenching to see the aftermath of Hurricane Dorian.

Involved with SCIP (Structural Concrete Insulated Panels) and helped build several projects over the years including a home in Crystal Beach, Texas. Hurricane Ike had a direct hit on Crystal Beach. Once the builder was allowed in to inspect the structure we found what we were both hoping to find. The house was still there. All but one house in the area were totally gone. The SCIP home had less that $2,000 damage! The damage was caused by the debris from another home striking the SCIP railing around the home. The builder had brought a generator, plugged it into the electrical panel and everything powered up. A FIMA team came by to view the home. The team was so impressed a white paper written making observations the construction process was a recommended building process.

I commend you my good man. I live on Abaco and was there when it hit, but we lived in Cherokee, down south. We were spared most of the storm, but having to deal with the aftermath. Our government isn't doing much for us.

Thank you for showing the world! Very much appreciated, you have allowed me to send healing love & light to the victims! My heart is broken for all victims of this storm. I am in awe, really... apparently another may be coming through, I truly hope all survivors can get out of there, if they have not already! Please all be safe! Love & Light! 💙

@@iCyclone Your welcome. I once lived near a riverbed, and it flooded terribly. I lost everything. The loss and the devastation and the pain is so much more real when it happens to you. The videos are great, but actually being there in-person with the actual debris and ruins all around, and the new reality of the harshly distorted world sinking in, can be just overwhelming.

im watching this again from the middle of canada. i have a really big interest in hurricanes, i really want to know more about them. i’m fascinated. i’ve got trouble understanding just how *bad* a hurricane can be, and this video is showing me that dorian was more devastating than i thought it was. you inspire me a lot
