I really think maps played in this way are peak distance. Skipping over "intended" routes to find faster little mini shortcuts really feeds into the "carkour" feel of the game thats so satisfying. I definitely get wanting to show off intended routes, but on revists to tracks id personally love to see more of these "skipping routes" style videos. Super satisfying.
