i think one thing that ATEEZ is surprised by in this recent tour is how much bigger their audience has gotten 😳 even if there was casual listeners or even non-fans in the audience, people are still paying to see them perform bc they know they can put on a show. so awesome! can’t wait to see them grow even more and welcome 🤗 you’ll love these dorks.

in terms of their storyline, for the longest time atinys thought the Halateez (aka the black pirates) were the "dark side" of ateez but we very recently found out they are just ateez from an alternate universe. Halateez come from a world where emotions, any forms of art, singing/dancing ect is forbidden and they oppose to that and have started their own revolution you could say. and in short words they are being hunted by the white masked man (which you'll see in some mvs). there's so much more to this but it can be very overwhelming 😅

This MV isnt "technically" a comeback its a special mv through the Universe Music App hince why theres no lyrics when Atiny gets feed with lyrics on the daily. I've been into kpop since 2012 and most of the 2nd and 3rd gen groups I love ie: BigBang, 2ne1, Vixx, Shinee, Exo A.C.E dont have captions in their older vids so I'm used to not automatically looking but I love that with Ateez it auto pops up cause KQ always thinks of the international fans and has a couple diff languages available. Also Happy Birthday, mine is tomorrow!

Kingdom was very bitter sweet for Atiny....we all know Ateez was robbed even antis know that. Besides for when professionals voted (which ateez always won) when it came to final voting it was up to how many fake accounts a fandom could make to vote that ended up deciding the winners. (NO SHADE TO THE WINNERS THEY SUPER TALENTED TOO) but ateez ate that show up!! atleast ateez kingdom performance of wonderland was voted the Best KPOP performance of 2021! Which says it all.

I think reacting to some older, some newer is a wonderful way to get to know their discography! As others have mentioned, Mingi was not present during Kingdom, and I love The Real (Heung Version)- it feels complete with OT8 and all the finishing touches. As for Don't Stop- it was definitely more meant for the lure and storyline for ATEEZ since there wasn't as much focus on it being a comeback as there normally would be. I can't wait to see more of your reaction videos! Thank you for enjoying our men happily.

First off, Happy Birthday!
But, no. I understand what you mean. I've been listening to K-Music for a while. There IS something like formula/style that certain companies or groups use a lot. Like there's specific SM style. There's a JYP style. It all boils down to producers and folks working behind the scenes. Sometimes, everybody jumps on a particular sound trend and it can sound like certain songs are in that "box". But that's not the case all the time - there may be one or two songs in "the box" because it's what's trendy/popular. You really do need to sorta dive into the different groups boy and girl, past and present, to see that yes there are some similarities? But the difference and DIVERSITY that exists along side that? The stuff you may not hear in the 'mainstream' because that's not what the companies are pushing for.
Music is a journey, after all! I would like to suggest watching Kingdom since you've seen the performance for The Real. That was the first ever performance/unveiling of the song. But, Kingdom Legendary War is a definite watch for the Stray Kids and ATEEZ shenanigans. Plus, it will also put a few other groups into your consideration. There are various groups from the 3rd and 4th gen all competing by revamping their songs and showing their creativity in new ways! I'm sure you could watch/react to them since it's been some time. But, you could always throw those on patreon!

The thing about Ateez is that they have their own sound, it’s a very distinctive sound that no matter what song you listen to of them you can always say “ah, this is so Ateez”. Like you said, kpop is this different types of genres but they all have this specific sound that whenever you listen to you say “this is kpop” but not with Ateez. It’s like they’re doing their OWN way (which is what Eden and even the members have said at times) amd which is also the reason you will see a lot of people(Atinys or none Atinys) say “Ateez are their own genre”

ATEEZ are so good live! You can always tell their mics are on. One fun thing about The Real is that different members participated in the dance break each time.
The song: 멋 is a Korean word without a direct English equivalent--real, style, and cool are attempts to catch the meaning, but it has an underlying idea of honor, so the song is about how what's really cool/stylish is to be humble, respectful, and kind (which is why there was so much bowing). Fun fact: Korean has multiple dialects with the Seoul dialect being the standard (it's what Korean language learners are taught). In the song when the music stops, the member speaks in his own dialect (most Ateez members are from the countryside but have been trained to speak Seoul dialect in their content), kind of like if someone spoke with a southern drawl and the next person spoke with a Jersey accent.
The video: Appears to be based on Volcano High, a popular Korean movie in 2001 about a transfer student with special powers who ends up at a school with warring factions who are trying to find a book of power. Ateez's twist--The book they find when they put their powers together is essentially a book of morality, a book about 멋. (If you want more details watch Form of Therapy's reaction).

hehehe the banners say "kingdomz (a nickname to address all 6 groups who participated in kingdom) you worked hard! today's dinner is beef! (like theyre inviting/asking their competitors to treat themselves after working hard" which is really frickin cool and if i weren't an atiny by then this performance would have made me one. it's also so impressive to me that they decided to end their journey on kingdom with 멋, the song itself meaning what it's like to be "cool" in the way that "what makes you an honourable person is your altruism your kindness and your humility" and ateez acknowledging n being so respectful to their industry seniors and competing fairly and humbly... it's just really wonderful to me. also them mixing their b-side 선도부 (the leaders from their album fever pt. 2) which directly translates to "disciplinary club" like the student council we have in schools and kicking off the performance with hongjoong helping a kid who was being buIIied and showcasing what makes a true leader..... They impress me everyday
also i love watching the live stages for 멋 the real because they split into pairs for the dance breaks and switch it up every stage so we have hongjoong + seonghwa, yunho + yeosang, mingi + wooyoung and san + jongho (sometimes they switch up the pairings though ive seen different combinations of them sometimes on tour hehe) and they revealed that they choose via rock paper scissors which is hilarious but hella cool because thats just how confident they are in their dance 🥺

In say my name -I love that move too!! lol I think Hongjoong's dance skills shows a lot here as well. He is actually a really good dancer, but it gets overshadowed at times. And I absolutely love his facial expressions!
Hongjoong is a fantastic dancer!!!!! My eyes always seem to be drawn to him or Yunho. Hongjoon has a very rare performance element about him! He is captivating ❤️
Hong-jung had never danced before entering KQ, and after deciding to become an idol (he dreamed of being a producer), he practiced for a year and had his current dance skills.,They seem to have a good natural sense of rhythm.
And the dance is called 'shopping cart dance.'

also really enjoyed this video thank you for reacting to ateez i really love them like i only listen to very few groups in kpop and ateez are like one of the bests(really thankful to BTS or id have not discovered kpop nor Ateez) but i think ATEEZ they are not quite recognised yet for the quality of music production,performances,unique choreos,damn strong vocal line and raps. they really have their own genre like you said... So i feel happy when i see people getting into them.
I wouldn't worry - I truly believe that Ateez is going to absolutely demolish one day. They are SO SPECIAL. They are already extremely successful, but I truly believe their success is going to be BIG!!!

this is basically the summary of kingdom and how the program was like hehe:
for wonderland and rhythm ta, hongjoong actually actively participated in the remastering, lyrics n arrangement of the songs! im not sure if you remember from their profiles but hongjoong is a composer and he has produced several songs that made it onto their albums too. for their rap verses, him and mingi participate in writing the lyrics for all of them! the behind the scenes for these stages were so cool i looove seeing the creative process for performances!
"symphony no. 9 from the wonderland" was performed during the first round of kingdom and the theme was "to the world" like what do you want your message to the world to be and choose a song of your own to present. during this round, ateez had their comeback for fireworks, and their schedule was immensely packed and hectic considering they only got 2 weeks to practise for the stage all the while promoting fireworks (which included things like dance practices, rehearsals, pre-recording, live stages for each music broadcast station for whatever music program they had to go to during the two weeks like Music Bank, Inkigayo, Music Core, The Show etc. ) and also they had to come up with the concept for the stage and rearrange the song and choreography, and also 4/8 members were filming for a kdrama "Imitation" with yunho being the second male lead. and during the introductory stage for kingdom before this round, they had ranked 5th out of the 6 teams. so seeing them win number 1 for this round was incredibly satisfying to see after all of their dedication and passion for performing.
for "awakening of summer" where they performed rhythm ta, it was for round 2 with the theme "Reborn". in which the six teams would switch songs with a team of their choice based on rank (so since ateez ranked 1st in round1, they got to choose and picked ikon to switch with, then 2nd place got to pick another team, and the 3rd team would pair up with the last group not chosen yet since there are only 6 teams). it was so cool seeing hongjoong work on this song as well because ive been a fan of kpop since 2009 and i was an ikon fan at one point and he made rhythm ta sound so completely different AND still managed to deliever their storyline clearly admist a competition show where they were the youngest team in terms of seniority in the music industry. they have gotten a lot of acknowledgment and respect for their performances on kingdom by senior groups and music critics.
also!!! for the final round of kingdom, they had to release a new song a week ahead of the final livestream of the finale, and that was when ateez actually first released "the real". they changed it up a bit and added more traditional korean instrumentals n included the dance break in it and that's why officially on their album it was entitled "the real 흥. version" and they have expressed that they released it for their album fever epilogue was because they wanted to promote the song with mingi this time 🥺 absolutely love them to bits!

hongjoong and ateez's main music production team Ede-nary came up with the idea of incorporating classical pieces into the remastered versions of the songs. for wonderland they used dvorak's "symphony no. 9 from the new world" and for rhythm ta it was inspired by vivaldi's "summer" (the four seasons)!
for their rhythm ta performance was a prequel to their wonderland performance btw haha and hongjoong said it was heavily inspired by the spanish tv series "money heist" and the performance for wonderland was heavily inspired by "pirates of the caribbean" like the kraken and the undead pirates acted out by the bone breaking dancers. as you can tell hongjoong is heavily involved in the composing and production of ateez's songs
Since you’re interested in the storyline, Diary Film and basically the whole XR concert are reallllly enlightening. I’m not sure if the whole xr concert has been posted somewhere but you can literally have my login to watch the VOD when it comes out. Just got an email from my music taste that it should be soon. The storyline is really big brain stuff. Even hongjoong has said they haven’t even shared half of it yet and it’s not linear in terms of the songs and mvs.

Dont wanna ruin ur mood, but sad fact about The Real Kingdom Perf, San’s grandpa whom he had cherished much passed away several days before its shooting. He went back home to give last bow. But then cameback for the last round of Kingd Perf. We still cried about this. Their schedules at that time were sooo crazy.

Someone might've already explained but the "lower your pants more" bit is them giving lines of what is seen as cool and how to be cool. So the stereotypical cool dudes that lower their trousers etc. Its like taking the mick out of those people and saying those with morals who are "humble and kind" are the true cool ones.
And yeah that kingdom performance was from months before the official release of the real on an album. They promoted the real on music shows this time as well and the performances are epic. You might have some difficulty with copyright (not sure) but their immortal songs performances are a good watch. Out of I believe 5 times they've been on there, they won 3 times. Which is massive for any act let alone a kpop group. But my point was their most recent one was a mash up including the real and songs from block B and big bang

Idk if someone told you this yet but some ateez comebacks have double title tracks where fans can choose which one will be the official title track and gets promoted first + the longest . deja vu & eternal sunshine were both competing, inception & thanxx also wave & illusion. Ateez also loves including atinys a lot in their decisions. Atinys voted for the fandom name and also the lightstick is designed by atinys.
Atinys also love talking about & guessing what is happening in atz storyline(as you probably noticed XD) so during inception /thanxx era they had storyline competitions for the fans where they wrote their own versions of what they think is happening in their storyline.

Also really random but there were captions on don't stop. For some reason on some youtube videos the captions button is faded but if you click on it, it works. Ooh and all the fire in don't stop is real (obviously not the bit where Hongjoong injured himself. But he did singe his hair in that scene for real lol. just the spark wasn't real. You can see in the behind they posted). Mingi was so proud of filming the explosion scene. He posted it loads in the ateez group chat with the members and then on twitter. Honestly I'd be the same if I somehow didn't flinch whilst they legit blew up a car behind me. And they did drive a car through the wall for that WooSan bit

Loving all of the Ateez reactions. I hope that you'll react to some of the more vocal heavy songs like Turbulence, Light, Aurora, etc. Actually, Ateez has some of the most unique instrumentals in songs and their discography is a mix of different genres. Whatever you don't react to, I hope that you'll just listen and find some songs to add to your playlist.

When you get to hala hala, if you want a live stage I highly recommend the music core one where they’re wearing red outfits. Demon line is on full display there 😊

To clarify a bit of Kpop history for you, much of what you consider the "kpop sound" is absolutely its own part of the genre, made popular largely by SM in the 2ndGen and continues to this day through several groups who adopt a classic kpop sound in some of their tracks. There is nothing bad about not being into the "kpop sound" but I am glad you are realizing that only makes up part of the genre as a whole. There are so many different sounds in kpop today, its really overwhelming but also amazing.
Anyway, just wanted to say: loving your reactions, how you talk to the camera like we are really with you, and just go with the flow of whatever happens during filming. Don't lose that charm to try and "polish" your reactions for us, fans enjoy seeing how real a person is, rather than a lot of the showy stuff we get from these overproduced reactors. Happy to have you join some great fandoms! I want to suggest NCT to you...but to be honest, I don't think you can handle any more at the moment, and NCT is A LOT to get into with so many members and content. But if you do feel like you have time later, NCT is so funny you, you will die of laughter while trying to stan.

Yeah the kpop sound a lot of the time isn’t my thing but as I said as as you mentioned, the groups are incredibly diverse with so many different sounds nowadays! They really are so impressive and there are so many amazing songs!!
As for NCT. I definitely want to check them out! And you’re right, I have a lot on at the moment. But in my live TH-cam videos, that’s when I watch other groups and see what I like etfc.. and I’m definitely keen dive deeper into groups like NCT! All with time 😍😍😍😍
