I think Winter has a lighter, whispy sound while Ningning has a deeper timbre and I’m assuming broader range with a better belt. SM did well organizing and balancing this group.
They both have different tones.. Winter have that classic SM Korean OST voice.. While Ning2 have SES Bada tone.. Really resembles her.. But her love on top cover shows she much more than that..her range is wide..

Ningning's vocals are no joke and deserves to be talked about more, her vocals are crazy flexible, I was thinking what would be her signature sound as smgg's new main vocal; and with all the songs she has sang thus far it is safe to say that her signature might be her ability to adapt her tone and vocal color to the song she is singing. Ningning knows her strengths and is a very intuitive and smart singer too, and has the mixed vocal technique down pat. I wish I could explain this better but sm should really wise up and showcase this talented girl every chance they get.
Ningning truly is the main vocal. Her being part of the SM Rookie program made her more confident in performing even when she's nervous. Even when half-assing a song, she's still doing it so well.

I mean, she sang so well, her voice is soothing my ears, and with that kind of voice I bet she's going to sing some Kdrama OST in the future. Queen of OST, Winter. Giselle is so good at doing some covers but I do bet she'll rock more when she has her own solo, she's pretty confident and her vocal is precise. Karina has a great voice, I think she's great at doing musicals. It would suit her best though I find her voice good in almost everything. Ningning at a young age is quite impressive.
