@Imperial Commander Yue Fei 岳飛 Filipino culture is based on Filipino identity. And Filipino identitiy exemplifies adaptability(taking the tones of anything they come in contact with). And if we are going to be technical about it, the "Filipinos" back then were the half-breeds and the "Indios" were the natives. Pinoy culture isn't pre-Hispanic; it's post-American. Pre-Hispanic tribal culture isn't the only Pinoy culture, it's a part of the history of Pinoy culture. If you believe that Pinoy culture is pre-Hispanic then you're analyzing culture in a bubble. In the real word, no culture exist in a bubble. All culture everywhere is constantly building upon itself and developing as time goes on. As a Filipino, whether you mean to or not, you're gonna develop certain associations to specific cultural patterns. This celebratory dance-prayer to combat sounds Filipino modern. Edit: It's basically the Taglish of Filipino dances.
Me me yep, look at most filipino war dances theyre usually shown to teach balance or methods of using weapons and drills while this is just people hitting sticks and dancing
Yeah. Looks more theatrical but More of the beat is use by head hunters when then went home after cutting the chief's head of the enemy tribe. The real one is not bamboo but spears with 2-5 spikes.
@@carllubrin8518 yezzz maka miss!! 💖 Especially sparring time. I usually got paired with the boys and went home with a bruise every after sparring training 🤣 well worth it tho hahaha
It sounds kinda like sinulog with its beat. But made to sound more dynamic like fighting. This is modern filipinos melding modern sound with tradition. It's not supposed to sound like any tribe. It doesn't have to be based on a tribe. It just has to sound Filipino. Otherwise, it would just represent a region. And the most popular traditional sound and recognized by all Filipinos is heard in festivals.
Actually pagkakaalam ko meron din tayo version ng haka dance noon siguro kung hindi tayo sinakop ng Español baka marami rin tayong traditional war dance like sa new Zealand, hawaii, at samoan
Was that a Filipino or Native American Warrior Dance? Cuz Filipinos never paint tattoos on between their eyes, but they put tattoos in their whole body
'Spirit of the Warrior' not appropriate for being enslaved hundreds of years😁maybe for the never been conquered group, the Igorot of the Cordilleras🤠💪😁

oh no,it won't. It's a Fil-Am interpretative dance, that has nothing to do with Tribal Filipino dance moves.
@Imperial Commander Yue Fei 岳飛 there ain't a pure traditional "Filipino" culture that is purely homogeneous to the whole Philippines.

the love and care of a Filipina can give you, is incomparable!
killed it man 🤟
ehm.... i'm confused...what tribe is this suppose to be based on? I know most of the tribal dances and song rhythms but this is sounding too modern.

Theres viking, Native American, and Filipino warriors does it really matter
I can't help thinking.....where did they stomp the bamboos back then? They won't make that sound on grass? Made up?
That kiss at the end was unnecessary .
😮😮😮😮😮
Durmstrang who
Maganda pa rin yung haka. ng mga Maori. Na preserve nila yung culture
Yeah sadly saatin mga indeginous people nalang ang na perform nito we're too influenced wth other nation's cultures likeJapanese and american culture
Actually pagkakaalam ko meron din tayo version ng haka dance noon siguro kung hindi tayo sinakop ng Español baka marami rin tayong traditional war dance like sa new Zealand, hawaii, at samoan
Batle cry

Long Live sa lahing Maharlikan

Seperti dayak
The Anyo wouldve been nice to perform also here😄
Born from tribal hearts, cultured from the enemy, Born to kill the enemy! Were warriors
ohio 💀
No disrespect but can someone make a phonk out of this?
So similar to Maori and yet Maori still say they didn't migrate from south east Asia but claim they are native Americans lol
Was that a Filipino or Native American Warrior Dance? Cuz Filipinos never paint tattoos on between their eyes, but they put tattoos in their whole body
The igorots, sinulog, yakan.....depends on the tribe. There’s was more than the pinatados and even they had face tattoos.
Filipino
We did tattoo our faces, read our history.
Filipino Haka
Naunsa mani oy dili man authentic
A complement to Native American culture and spirit.
Bro
*sigh*
Bruh
They are dancers hahaha. not warriors.
'Spirit of the Warrior' not appropriate for being enslaved hundreds of years😁maybe for the never been conquered group, the Igorot of the Cordilleras🤠💪😁
Their warrior costume is inappropriate and offensive
WHAT
Why?
