I wouldve had a ipad with me with some decent pictures to show off some options/past work though.. showing that stuff on a 5'' screen just isnt professional.. Just grab like 50 pictures, put them in order in a folder.. that way u can also mail them.. but what do i know im not a contractor..

Workmanship has all gone by the wayside anymore. Use to be quality before quantity but now it's all about the paycheck and how many corners can be cut on a build as to be able to move on to the next. It so is not about the home owners happiness in 1,4, or 18 years down the road, it all about throw this house together so we can get paid. Hey Ryan I got a idea for when your trying to show your customers textures of concrete, You should pour a 1x1 or 2x2 little pad for every texture you have and stamp them so then you’ll have something to actually show them. Hopefully you understand what I’m trying to say and idk if that would be possible realistically but let me know what you think?

Good evening Ryan just a tip on washing down the chutes if you put three buckets at the bottom then hand them up to the driver and dump them back into the truck works great when you don’t have a place to get rid of the slop . The crew is working like a well oiled machine
Your videos are entertaining. I worked 4 years doing pool decks, patios, driveways and any residential work. It was fun, same as what your doing but in souther California they pour different.
We used to use those plastic hammers for patio blocks and walkways, they work good for those purposes but we never used them to hammer anything else in just to tap blocks in place and settle them down a bit. Never had one break though.

When you’re drilling those holes for the steps and you have loose gravel, sand, or both get a sono tube that fits about 2” loose around the auger. while you’re drilling you will push the tube down while pulling out the auger until you get to the target depth. It will stop the caving in. Usually the tubes with ridges work best metal or plastic.
Have you thought about making some brochures so customers can look at your work and decide on colours and stamps, i'm sure it would make life a lot easier
Hey Ryan I think you need to start hitting the lads with a repair/Maintenance/replacement charge when they break something and watch how quickly their attitude will change and less stuff will break. Apart from items breaking due to natural causes.
