The silence at 40:41 after being asked are you suppose to just shoot after someone resupplies says it all. No logical response. Why is it so difficult for people to admit they made a mistake or wrong judgement call in the moment. So many better rp scenarios could come before just shooting such as bringing in spikes and pits earlier or simply having more units than usually allowed on a fleeca. Make the crims getaway more difficult because they made a mistake not just shoot so they at least felt like they had a chance. Shooting just ends any chance of further good rp and should only be justified when life is immediately endangered or harmed.

In my dumb viewer opinion, a swap week could help, where everyone who has a main cop character switches to crim and viceversa (maybe keeping some admins as high ranks in the PD to help people out). that would help some cops realize what it feels to have your roleplay destroyed for no reason. either that or just crims stop doing crime AT ALL, doing only ERP or Business RP or Civ RP and leaving the cops to do traffic stops until they learn how to behave. but it's just my dumb opinion.

Furthermore most hardcore crims have a cop char and really know the other side and how to make it enjoyable for both sides. Also cop main doing crim RP doesn't work. 95% of the cops who have crim chars are literally some unknown background characters in GSF who don't even do crime apart from dealing some drugs on the side. If you look at it from a real life perspective, A cop will never admit to being wrong, because you're admitting to malpractice. You wont have cops in real life admitting they are wrong, you will have them punished through the courts, which is how is should start operating in NP. If a cop fucks up and there is proof, they should be punished with some sort of suspension or termination if the action is above and beyond inexcusable. Just a small example for real life people. if you're in a car accident, regardless of if you are at fault or not, you should NEVER say the words "sorry" "My bad" or anything similar to admitting fault, because that WILL be used against you, regardless of if you were actually at fault.

Their in character actions make no sense based on in character events that happened. Literally shot people with their hands up because a person arrived late to a robbery that they couldn't prove was happening until that man arrived so they could rob it. If they had taken their hostage and left before Dundee turned up, and the cops caught them when they left, all they could have charged them with was kidnappings and evading etc, not robbing the bank. They can't act on their belief that the criminals were resupplying a bank robbery that wasn't a robbery until the last guy with the supplies got there.

Saab understanding from a crim persoective. Saab is one of my favourite cop despite what people says. Now that he is back on his crim character he understands how crims feel on some situations. Its always good to understand both pov instead of just understanding one side and shit talk the other side. And i was there watching his stream when 1st day he came back on his crim character, the only cleanbois and the OG who did not get involve in the casino heist only involved being part of the other side as a cop
You can tell they are being careful what they say... Even though he's on his crim character, they just shot and mag dumped their chief of police. Obviously he cannot use information from crim into cop side, but his decisions are now biased during shootouts and hold outs.
This resupply thing should not creep into RP, this should be a clear defined admin rule that if broken warnings are issued and if broken again bans should happen. Just securing hostages and mag dumping people isn't the way surely.

I think we can all agree with this conclusion: PD needs more training. How many times has Bass told them about deescalation and they keep escalating. It's not even a rare a mistake, this happens a lot. The fact that the last cop to talk to Saab agreed that he'd also shoot (and implies he'd also lie to crims that he wouldn't shoot) for the resupply means there's something clearly wrong with PD priorities.
It's not an issue of training, it's an issue of cops not giving a fuck what they're told because there is rarely every any real consequences. They play dumb when it suits them even if it's a rule that's been around since the start of 3.0 and everyone should know it by now.

Saab understanding from a crim persoective. Saab is one of my favourite cop despite what people says. Now that he is back on his crim character he understands how crims feel on some situations. Its always good to understand both pov instead of just understanding one side and shit talk the other side. And i was there watching his stream when 1st day he came back on his crim character, the only cleanbois and the OG who did not get involve in the casino heist only involved being part of the other side as a cop
You can tell they are being careful what they say... Even though he's on his crim character, they just shot and mag dumped their chief of police. Obviously he cannot use information from crim into cop side, but his decisions are now biased during shootouts and hold outs.
This resupply thing should not creep into RP, this should be a clear defined admin rule that if broken warnings are issued and if broken again bans should happen. Just securing hostages and mag dumping people isn't the way surely.

How many times has Bass told them about deescalation and they keep escalating. It's not even a rare a mistake, this happens a lot.
The fact that the last cop to talk to Saab agreed that he'd also shoot (and implies he'd also lie to crims that he wouldn't shoot) for the resupply means there's something clearly wrong with PD priorities.
It's not an issue of training, it's an issue of cops not giving a fuck what they're told because there is rarely every any real consequences. They play dumb when it suits them even if it's a rule that's been around since the start of 3.0 and everyone should know it by now.

I think the problem is and this has always been a problem with PD is PD thinks that they are admin the arbiters of justice. and sometimes it stems into OOC things like resupplies " oh they are breaking a server rule? well lets shoot them down and punish them IC for something we cant prove and should be reported then accessed by admins" and their line of "well how should we know when a bank is hit" like they dont know that the alert goes off as soon as the hack begins it's lazy justifications. and if saab was on cops he'd be right behind them backing them up on the call. I get it saab is in a position where he doesnt want cops to not come on duty and he also wants to appease crims and it is a rough line to toe for sure. but maybe some of these cops shouldnt want to sign on duty if they cant follow SOP's the basics of their job.
I thought it was against the rules to acknowledge a breach rule in game. If resupplying isn't allowed, they shouldn't take it upon themselves to kill the criminals.. they should just report and move on with the scenario.

@@Uri0000 gonna have to clarify and inform you a bit, when he says 200+ cops he doesn't mean "At 1 time" but as in all cops who are able to log in for 1st 2nd and 3rd shifts, cause there are alot of cops who don't regularly log in, and No, the cop range in the server is not 15-30, that was much in the past, the current cop count at 1 time during the server is between 25-40 now and on rare occasions, even more
I kinda love Dundee and Saab doing jobs together because Croc and Baas are such a good combo, as well as Dundee and Baas so this is great. Issues aside, I'm glad they met IC.
Bass always says that shooting is not the way to solve the issue, but the problem is that there is no way for crims to solve problems on the polices side. Crims complain in character and they get ignored, they complain ooc and they get ignored or banned. What option are they left with other than shooting?

My only problem with this is when he said he's going to not play this character bc it's not fun when he gets screwed by cops, and he doesn't want to resort to shooting bc it's not fun for cops. If the problem is so bad that it makes him not want to play the character, then I don't think that solves the problem. If anything the problem just gets redirected to other people to the point where they don't fun either. It's better for the initial problem to be addressed, that being some of these cop characters and their egos.

I've noticed a problem with cops thinking they're admins and it's not just this situation. For some reason, some cops think it's their place to 'punish' criminals ICly for breaking OOC server rules, or when they don't do things the way they feel (OOC) that things should be done.
Cop players are not admins - they are PLAYERS. They have soft-admin powers but they're not admins and it's not their place to 'punish' anyone. If they feel a rule has been broken, they should report them or talk to them later OOC. It's getting really tiresome watching cop players end RP early on their terms for bullshit reasons, fail to see what they did wrong, and not face any consequences.
