The remasters are terrible.
The graphics have aged.
Still legendary tho.
Its still a lot of fun
They're old engines, to make the graphics look good they have to remake it
I do enjoy the brighter colours a lot though. ACII always looked so drap on 360 like most 7e gen games, to much brown and grey.

There's an ac2 graphics Overhaul mod. It helps a lot
I often re-install ACII just to walk those streets and regain that atmosphere. Because every time I listen to that music, I walk among the people and listen to the cries of the vendors, I feel something very special. It's like those places belong to me.
Me too. My guess is we have memories in our genes from former times and the atmosphere reminds us somehow of it

I did that this Halloween! I had to quit pretty early into trick-or-treating, though, because my lens fogged up.
Did it! Only had a bit of time taking my daughter out (who was dressed as a butcher with a bloody leather apron) and my wife dressed as a nurse which were nuns at the time, also muddy and bloody. Lmao started playing AC2 for the 1st time last year with the Ezio collection and while there are janky moments, bugs, and parts i hated, i had alot of fun with the collectibles, exploration, and side missions.

I think its the nostalgia what makes this game so awesome for the most people. I played it for the first time now at the age of 22 and i must say it was quite good but far from being awesome or worth playing another time. I played some awesome games this and last year for example mafia 1-3 on ps4, far cry 3-5 (especially 3 was awesome), uncharted 1-4 and fallout 3. (All for the first time) and i enjoyed every Single one more than AC2... even far cry 5.

Part of that would be the fact that this footage is from the remaster, which makes the game worse half the time.

I laughed so much during this video
I just started playing ac2 a couple days ago and I think it’s a blast. Parkour is fun and more complex than any other game in the series. I am enjoying myself.
Its great fun still but the parkour in AC1 and Unity is more complex in my opinion
Assassins creed 2 has aged as good as my nan when she worked as a primary school Head teacher
So I’m assuming it has aged pretty bad then

Oh no doubt it's aged since 2009. But I just played it recently with a friend who's never played Assassin's Creed before and it held up really well narrative-wise

I bought the Ezio collection a while back, and just recently downloaded it on my ps5 to play these games for the first time.
I got up to the part where you fight in the street as young Ezio and turned my system off because it felt so out dated to play.
I'll give it another go soon, as I'm sure once I become an assassin ill enjoy it a bit more, but its gonna be a chore to get there
