It is interesting to compare the very first sermon the Lord Jesus Christ ever preached with His last one. His first sermon was not 'Sermon on the Mount'. It was instead recorded in Matthew 4. Jesus' last sermon was not 'The Great Commission'. It was His admonition to the church in Revelation 3. Both sermons emphasized the very same word and yet that word is rarely heard in the modern pulpit -- it is the word ' repent!
