I’ve missed you and quite honestly I’ve missed your Mum too! She’s so awesome! It’s wonderful that you’re still in recovery. I know how hard it can be, even after years of recovery there are still hard days… but you’re still doing it. It’s a testament to how strong you really are. You seemed to really enjoy your visit to Satara at uni, do you think you might join her there yourself someday? College was some of the best times I ever had in my life. Living in the dorms, fraternity parties, going out… it’s when I really started discovering who I was and found my independence from my parents and tiny hometown. I’m so glad I did it. I’m just curious if you’ve considered it for yourself at all. Regardless, I’m so glad you’re back posting and I hope there’s more from you (and Mum) to come! Hugs from Chicago!

I was actually in first year of uni when I was ill, I don’t think I’ll go back but it was fun visiting Satara and I’m sure I’ll go up there more these next couple years! I just love where I live! Off-topic, but in my experience, uni is mostly a scam. You can find independence and meet new people without crippling yourself with tens of thousands in debt.
First Christmas in recovery! That’s wonderful! Congratulations to you, dear. I’ve had an ED for 30 years and although I’m now in therapy and do support groups weekly, I so wish I would’ve started it sooner than age 40. But Elzani is living proof that recovery truly is possible, even for the most severe ED cases. If she can do it, so can you and I. I truly hope she sees your comment, because knowing that she’s made a true difference to just one person would mean the world to her. She’s truly inspirational, and so are you. This illness is such a monster, but if you keep fighting, you’ll get there too. You keep going, Megan. You can do this!❤
