@@YogisCycleService unfortunately, it didn’t go too well I was able to remove the old tire from the rim, but could not put on the new tire. Not even the first side of the tire. It would go on 3/4 of the way and then stock. I’m gonna have to take it to the store but thank you for all your help.

Pro tip, some tires are used for front and rear applications. The tire is mounted different directions on some. Make sure the direction is correct for the placement. Remember that a new tire is oily. There are many different opinions on how long before the tire is ready for normal use. 25-50 miles is about the range or one good burnout.
Second pro tip, drive belt dressings, make sure to use the correct stuff. Asian bikes should use a good soy based dressing ginger is also OK. Italian bikes oil and vinegar be careful the Zesty will provide a more robust dressing but may shorten the belt life. German bikes well many are shaft drive and that is another topic. American bikes, in the South Cornbread dressing that was cooked in the turkey works best. Do not get confused with tomato and vinegar, they are sauces and thought coat very well can be rather messy. You wont find this kind of info everywhere.

So if your new front tire is also technically a rear tire on other bikess how do you know which direction to mount it? I'm guessing follow the way the old tire is mounted?
Taking the crash bar off is the way to go, it only takes a few minutes, and was intuitive enough, and low drama. Then you can flex the case frame down just enough to pull the axle out.

Hi Yogi, how did you manage to install Caliper Mount bracket? It keeps falling down while I'm trying to tilt the wheel to get the axle inserted. I'm stuck, can't get it done. It was another long day today trying to finish up this rear tire change. In your video at 8:23 I can see the silver Caliper Mounting bracket is in place. How did you do it? Thank you.

Great video... Quick question..... Your the only video I have seen where you didn't have to remove the shocks to get to the axel rod out..... In all the other videos I seen they jack the bike up in the begin then start to take the wheel off where as you didn't jack the bike up till everything was loose and you got ready to remove the wheel from under the bike... So is that the secret to not having to remove the shocks..??????
Maybe so yes. I do remember it being a bit tight but yes. It’s my first vaquero tire change and I did it like I do my Harley so I guess that was the ticket.

Hi! I took everything apart just fine but now that I am putting it back together the brake caliper mount was very difficult to put in and now the axel rod will not move freely
Do you have the spacer put in between the wheel and the caliper?
It will tweak it if you have the spacer in the wrong spot and that’s easy to do by accident

These spacers would be the ones that are next to the shocks? I haven't disassembled my bike yet for tire change. I did however lower my bike last season, which is why I'm asking about the spacers you speak of. 😏
Ah hah....I figured out the spacers you are referring to! Back tire changed. Front will have to be on tomorrow's to do list. Not bad considering I wasn't quite sure what I was getting myself into, and had never done this before. 😆
According to the factory service manual this can't be done with hand tools.
